  1. BV ZARAM, late yesterday, I saw your comment about a 7 months pregnant woman that was hit and killed by a car. Mother and unborn child, gone, just like that! πŸ₯Ί
Omoh, very sad indeed! I can't even imagine the agony her husband and relatives will be going through right now. God abeg!!
From the drivers perspective, he may never forgive himself for the rest of his life. The thought of knowing you killed someone (even if it is unintentional), can be harrowing!! Na why each time I dey drive, I dey steady pray.
Whether as a driver or a pedestrian, may God protect us all as we journey around in our daily lives..πŸ™..
That story really got to me. My prayers are with her family...

  2. Understanding God's Timing!!
    John 7:6.

    Excerpts!!

"In the verse above, the Lord Jesus emphasized time consciousness and the significance of divine and prophetic timing. When you look at the prophetic revelation of the things that happened with Jesus, from His birth to His ascension, everything unfolded precisely as the prophets had foretold."

"The question then is, how do you know God’s timing for your life or for the nations? How do you know things that should happen or what we should expect? The answers are in the Scriptures—God’s Word! That’s the absolute source of Truth."

"This is the day of God's favour, and we have to recognize it and act. It's a day of opportunity, the day of salvation. The Apostle Paul called it the acceptable time. In other words, this is the day in which God accepts men, receives men, and helps men."

    Prayer!!

Dear Father, thank you for the wisdom and guidance I receive from your Word. I have an understanding of the times; I have clarity and understanding of your purpose and timing and I'm walking in sync with the Spirit to fulfil my destiny in Christ, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

  5. Good Friday morning everyone. There's something that's common among Nigerian parents which I've also found myself doing. It's repeatedly mentioning a child's offence while flogging the child. My kids have been on mid-term break since Monday, so they've been going to the shop with me. While at the shop yesterday, I noticed that my 2-year-old was running temperature, so I sent his senior brother (10 years) to a nearby pharmacy to get me Ibuprofen syrup. Few minutes later, he returned without the Ibuprofen and the 1k that I gave him. I asked him what happened, he couldn't explain. Out of anger, I picked up a cane & began to flog him. As I flogged him, I found myself saying "I sent you on an errand, you couldn't buy what I sent you to buy, neither did you come back with the money I gave you". I noticed that I just kept repeating the same thing while the flogging lasted.

Fellow Nigerian parents, I hail oo 🀣🀣🀣🀣🀣🀣

    ✓KNOW YOURSELF PART TWENTY FOUR.

    Healing Spiritual Wounds:

A.) Self-Exploration and Reflection: Engaging in self-reflection and introspection allows individuals to examine their beliefs, values, and spiritual experiences. This can involve exploring different spiritual practices, engaging in personal prayer or meditation, and seeking answers to existential questions.

B.) Seeking Spiritual Guidance: Consulting with spiritual leaders, mentors, or counselors who can provide guidance and support can be helpful in the healing of spiritual wounds. These individuals can offer insights, wisdom, and a safe space to explore and reconcile one's spiritual struggles.

C.) Reconnecting with Spiritual Practices: Rediscovering or exploring new spiritual practices that resonate with one's beliefs and values can foster healing. This can include engaging in prayer, meditation, mindfulness, scripture reading, attending religious services, or participating in spiritual rituals that provide a sense of connection and meaning.

D.) Cultivating a Supportive Community: Finding a supportive community of like-minded individuals who understand and accept one's spiritual journey is crucial. This can involve joining religious or spiritual groups, attending retreats or workshops, or connecting with online communities that foster understanding and acceptance.

E.) Integrating Faith and Healing Modalities: Integrating one's faith with evidence-based healing modalities, such as therapy, can provide a comprehensive approach to healing. Seeking therapists or counselors who respect and understand the role of spirituality can help individuals navigate the intersection of emotional and spiritual healing.

While emotional wounds primarily focus on the psychological and relational aspects of a person's well-being, spiritual wounds are specifically related to matters of faith, belief, and connection with a higher power. However, it's essential to recognize that emotional and spiritual wounds can be interconnected and influence each other. Spiritual wounds can deepen emotional wounds, and emotional healing can positively impact one's spiritual well-being.

Addressing both emotional and spiritual wounds is important for holistic healing and well-being. Integrating therapeutic approaches that consider the emotional, psychological, and spiritual dimensions of a person's experiences can support individuals in their journey towards healing, self-discovery, and personal growth.

  8. One thing about poverty is that, it makes you take in all sorts of disrespect from people. You’d even laugh at unfunny jokes just to please them, but when you’re financially stable, you have choices and can confidently reject things and people you don’t like.

Money is very important for your self-esteem.

Henceforth, I want to stop laughing to unfunny jokes. Oh Lord bless me beyond expectations. I need abundance wealth and good health to enjoy life Amen.

  12. SPIRIT-FILLED LIVING

'Do not be drunk with wine...be filled with the Spirit.' Ephesians 5:18 NKJV

The Christian life isn't only a changed life but an exchanged life. At the moment of conversion, we give our old life to God and he gives us a new life in its place. But he does more; he comes to live within us by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Paul made the contrast between being drunk with wine and being filled with the Spirit. One causes you to be out of control; the other enables you to be in control. One is counterproductive; the other is productive. One makes you powerless; the other empowers you. One brings you sorrow; the other brings you joy.

This Scripture is not a promise or even an option; it's a command: 'Be filled with the Spirit' (Ephesians 5:18 NKJV). Paul gives three evidences of a Spirit-filled life: (1) 'Singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord' (Ephesians 5:19 NKJV). This song isn't induced by circumstances but despite them. 'At midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God...immediately all the doors were opened and everyone's chains were loosed' (Acts 16:25-26 NKJV). Praising God can open doors and break chains. (2) 'Giving thanks always for all things to God' (Ephesians 5:20 NKJV). Spirit-filled people have troubles like everyone else, but don't focus on their troubles; they count their blessings and stay positive, upbeat and grateful. (3) 'Submitting to one another in the fear of God' (Ephesians 5:21 NKJV). Spirit-filled people are 'others focused'. They know that what you make happen for someone else, God will make happen for you (see Ephesians 6:8).

Everyone is created differently..It is abnormal for you to believe that everything comes easy though with God but don't forget that, the ones who made it in the bibles went through some challenges.

    or Let's chat on WhatsApp

Now don't get me wrong, the expression "Chat me up on WhatsApp" is grammatically sound.

Nevertheless, it doesn't mean what you think it means.

"Chat me up on WhatsApp" is so very different from: "Let's chat on WhatsApp".

So what does "Chat me up on WhatsApp" mean?
    I'll tell you.
    #StayWithME
    πŸ‘‡

Lady Kaima, one of the persons on a live Chat, asked me a question which I answered.

    Then I said:

"Chat ME up on WhatsApp if you need further clarifications, okay?"

    She responded:

"That's okay. But excuse me, Doc. I heard that 'Chat me up' has a somewhat negative connotation."

    "Oh really?"

"Yes Ma! That's what I heard o. What do you think?"

    I replied:

"Lady Kaima, in my English grammar class, it's not usually about what I think. It's usually about what the dictionary says. So, let's see what the dictionary says."

And I proceeded to some online dictionaries.

Lady Kaima was correct. This is what I saw:πŸ‘‡

Chat someone up (phrasal verb): to talk to someone in a way that shows that you are s3XuΓ’lly attracted to them.

    For example:
He spent all evening chatting her up and buying her drinks.
    -Cambridge dictionary

Chat up/ Chat somebody up (British English informal): to talk in a friendly way to somebody you are s3XuΓ’lly attracted to, perhaps hoping to start a relationship with them.

    For example πŸ‘‡

John was in the bar chatting up the barmaid.
    -Oxford dictionary

Chat up: If you chat someone up, usually someone you do not know very well, you talk to them in a friendly way because you are s3XuΓ’lly attracted to them.

    For exampleπŸ‘‡

She was chatting one of the guys up.
    -Collins dictionary
    ....
    Got any value reading this?

    I'm rooting for you! πŸ’ͺ

My nieces didn't go to school for a week because a lady brought her kids for weekend in the area and it spread to almost everyone. I also caught it last weekend. Very painful thing

  42. Weekend brings a special feeling. When I was young, I would be happy that I won't go to school and that I would go to church on Sunday in a beautiful dress. I would also be happy that I may follow my mum to a party.

When I grew up but single, I would be happy that no work on weekends, I would get to hangout with my friends or man, I would get to attend a party or two.

After marriage and kids, I am always happy that no school run on weekends. Chei, school run makes me wake up very early, cook and sweat in the kitchen even during harmattan, rush and take them to school. Afternoon, I would be checking time wherever I am in order to make sure they are picked up early and sefely at home or any other safe place. Weekends, I may decide to leave them at home and go out till evening, as long as there is food in the house, they would be fine. I also get to rest on Sundays after church.

See long story on weekends, odiegwu!

    Una good morning
