Nigeria's IGP Orders Full Enforcement Of Gunshot Victims Act 2017

This is great news!
The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has ordered full enforcement of the Gunshot Victims Act 2017. He has called on medical practitioners in Nigeria to provide prompt and compassionate treatment to all victims of gunshots and accidents, irrespective of the presence or absence of a police report.....

  4. They were treating this particular issue in one radio station just recently. Great news if only the Nigerian police will comply, because bail is free but Pinky still pay 70k.

  5. The problem is not with the enforcement, it's with the burectacy. There's a standing law backing and insurance backing victims of hit and run , I think by extension victims of gun shot(of the gun shot I'm not too certain)
It even awards compensation for the victim after free treatment, the issue is that most hospital including government owned ones are finding it difficult to recoup their money back from the insurance and other government agencies that supposed to authorise it.
