ReplyDeleteActually, he does. Pope get personal confessor wey dey hear him own confession which is why I get problem with that one wey my Catholic people dey tok say Pope dey "infallible". Na only Jesus no need confession as "human". Baba too holy🙌.
ReplyDeleteWhen the church says the Pope is infallible. It is being referred to the office of the papacy and not the human person.
DeleteAs a person, just like all of us, he errs and he confesses and gets absolved of his sins.
He is infallible because he doesn't and won't take any decision solely
He has cardinals from all over the work who make up his team if advisors. His infallibility refers to decision making pertaining the church.

ReplyDeleteThe pope has his own Confessor at the Vatican city;and can at his own wish confess to a fellow priest if he decides.
ReplyDeletePope Francis had an open confession to a fellow priest in 2014 at St Peters Bascilica..
