PINKYS CORNER

This Gender hmmmmm
She was married (court wedding) to the former manager of one of the then best fast food and she was the supervisor. This man was already married to two beautiful women. One stays in Lagos and the other stays in Ibadan but the supervisor and the manager met in Ibadan when the supervisor was posted to Ibadan. For better understanding, let's name both parties to be (Tola and James).

James got married to tola and they began to live together in another apartment rented by James. So, James rotates his sleeping days and weeks between the three wives...
Tola had a friend called Bolu. Bolu happens to be a rich man's daughter. So, they are so fond of one another until Tola began to date Bolu's dad.

One day, James was opportuned to meet Bolu's dad and tola introduced her husband to the man as her elder brother. James was confused and when they got home, they had a little disagreement over that but she gave some flimsy excuses.

Bolu became so mad at her friend for dating her father to the extent that, Bolu's dad decided to marry tola completely. Both of them became enemies. Not long, James sent tola packing due to her philandering attitude and after 2months, the rich man sent her to China for business purposes.
During the process, tola got pregnant severally for the rich man and both kept agreeing to abortion. The last abortion they did, baba discussed with the doctor and they tied her womb without her knowing.

A year after, she met another man called Joseph.
Joseph is a pastor presently in one of the biggest church in Nigeria. They began to date and both got married while tola was still dating baba but she kept everything away from the innocent man.

Six months after their traditional wedding, she was faced with issues of fibroid and it became so bad that, she was taken to the hospital for scan and the result says, the fibroid is so much but the scan never saw the tied womb, it was during the operation the doctor found out and after the operation, the doctor spoke with Joseph and told him what he found. The doctor concluded saying to Joseph that, his wife might have engaged into several abortions for her to have allowed her womb to be tied but in the actual sense, she wasn't aware of her tied womb but truly she has had several abortions.
Joseph was confused and began to make investigations why? Because tola denied not having any negative past.(Note : the rich man died few months after tola and Joseph became husband and wife).

When pastor Joseph began his investigation, tola never knew and he kept pretending not trying to search for any information until one lucky day, he met a long time friend who has become a doctor and works in his father's Hospital in Ibadan. He visited him in his office and they began to talk. He was trying to seek for information from his friend, to know if what happens to his wife won't affect her from being pregnant and the friend asked Joseph to come see him with his wife and he will prefer at his own house , so he could attend to them properly.

They did as discussed. The doctor got all information and prescribed some drugs. A week after, the doctor called his friend (Joseph) to see him at the hospital. There, he gave all info about his wife. He was surprised and asked how he got to know then he opened up a system and explained to him that, he was trying to open up a file for the wife when he saw an existing file bearing her name. The doctor said, he doesn't want to believe this though and they agreed on something.

He asked him to come with his wife to the hospital. Joseph got home and told the wife that, they need to see his doctor friend at his hospital again. When Joseph told the wife the name of the hospital, she was so cold. That was how everything she has being hiding was exposed(Thank God the doctor's father is still much alive and active).

The Doctor's friend father also told his son alot about that name Tola because the son needed more info , so , he asked his father and also asked the father if he can still recognize the lady in question and he answered saying yes.

Joseph was so calm and acted so maturely all because of the love he had. But something happened thereafter. Joseph was a pastor in charge of one of the branches of the church. They were in church and he ordered his wife(tola) not to go out of the church until the Grace has been recited. But she was adamant, she left the church to give few family weekend clothes to one of the pastor's wife from one of the mega parish when a bike man knocked her down.(I shared the story here last year).

Now, Joseph has left the church and also left tola.why? He said and I quote " I can't baby sit someone who built our relationship on lies and secrets and also failed to listen to instructions". Presently, tola has been booked for surgery because of her eye balls shifted away from its position due to the accident and also had a memory loss. She will be operated on next week but Joseph has gone forever .
He took everything that belongs to him in the house and left to start his life afresh again. His family was contacted but they turned all calls and meetings down without giving them reasons. Until the younger sister exposed everything.

You see why the past can be so funny when haunting an individual?. So many of us agree on not telling our partners our past but same past keeps haunting us. I can remember, how I told my wife about my past and she appreciated it even without her asking.

WHAT DA FERK!!!!! those Doctors are edeeeots for exposing her medical history without her consent..There is something called Data privacy and if you try this abroad eh, whether you revealed to the spouse or not, you ca be sued and you will pay heavily.... iLast two weeks, my husband and i had flu and i was the one that could go out so i was going to the doctor and he called and a medication was prescribed, he had to instruct them to give it to me oh.....My husband also has no right to go and ask any doctor for anything about me cos he wont get it unless i am with him and agree that he can come with me into the docs room...A Doctor can lose his license doing this...I dont support the womans sleeping around but those Doctors are fools....I am so pissed!
I pray that she recovers....

  1. You have to get a new mindset. Start believing bigger, dreaming bigger, expecting bigger. You’re not limited by your circumstances, by the economy, by your boss, by how you were raised, by your past. One touch of God’s favor will catapult you ahead.

  4. UPDATE ON THE MATTER I BROUGHT TO IHN NEWS YESTERDAY.

I showed my husband all your comments regarding the issue & he was really happy to see that majority of the comments aligned with my initial suggestion of overlooking. He then agreed that we ignore the proprietor this time, but said that should the man repeat such questions next time, he will have no choice than to go and confront him.

Meanwhile, I asked my son if he was alone in class when he was being asked those questions, he said it was just himself and two of his classmates as others who had finished their lunch had gone out to play. So, I want to assume the man meant no harm even though his behaviour is questionable.

Once again, many thanks to all of you who responded.

That fried rice you mentioned, yam is healthier and more nutritious than rice, what would make rice better is if there is chicken and vegetables in the rice and nothing in yam.

  6. What happened to me yesterday ehn, I pray it never happens again. I think I may have even developed some sort of ptsd from it.

So after the news that my friend had put to birth, told my husband that we are in a celebratory mode and not the type we take tea and bread for breakfast. I then set out to fry yam and egg.

I normally use a deep fryer for frying yam. I actually heard that when u add water to the oil, it makes the yam crispy and still moist inside. So I did just that.

When I was satisfied that it had fried enough, i brought out that thing that you place ur stuff before putting inside the oil and the next thing I heard was a huge blast. And then hot oil poured all over me. I screamed and my husband ran out. I kept screaming ‘I am going to be disfigured (because oil also poured all over my face or it seemed like it). I ran to the bathroom and wanted to use cold water but my husband screamed while running to get something to clean me up that I shouldn’t use water yet. While he was dabbing off the oil, I kept screaming and crying that I’m going to be disfigured and he kept assuring me that nothing of such would happen.

By now, my two kids were already weeping. Alex was weeping so hard. I had to force myself to stop crying and I started consoling her, telling her I was okay. When my husywas done wiping, he told me to get into the shower and open cold water. Fear made me use the coldest temperature πŸ˜‚ (imagine bathing cold water in the winter).

To cut the long story short, I feel a lot better now, luckily for me, the injuries are not as widespread as I had thought, just a small portion of my hand and a tiny spot on my head. I am so grateful that I use my glasses all the time or it could have been a different story all together. There was oil all over my glasses and I’m quite certain that if not for my glasses, my two eyes would have been affected.

I am even more grateful that for some reason, my kids that like to be in the kitchen with me when I’m cooking were not there at that particular time (already intensifying my efforts to find a baby gate that would fit the kitchen entrance, it’s quite large)

This injury that has now swollen and looks like it’s filled with liquid looks ugly AF. I just hope when it bursts, it heals nicely.

God forbid this kind of occurrence again. I wonder when I will have the courage to use that deep fryer again.

Next time, you will allow the yam to fry well wefore sprinkling water in it. Then allow it to fry some more before packing the yam out. I use this method to fry potatoes and cocoyam too. You don't add the water to the oil at the beginning

    25. So sorry Eka. You will heal well. In 2022 a few days after reading about oil in the kitchen accident, I was frying and the frying pan fell and my right leg was completely covered with hot frying oil. I was alone in the house. I remembered a comment that said flour should be used. I used flour all over the area… I actually saw the bubbles like it was frying. It was painful but I sat alone until my husband got home. That was when I went and washed it off. Apart from my feet, I had no blisters. I had a few weeks of going without shoes but it healed quickly. I used dermazin. Hot water is bad but oil is on another level. Ndo Biko

    26. Is even the dabbing that is more dangerous! Is because you are a black person! If is a fair person; otilo! Please next time just run cold water for 30 minute! I have stopped putting frying pan on top burner; except I am using the electric part of my cooker; which is a hot plate; after hot boiling stew poured on my hands; I put it under running water for 30 minutes! Joy stay in the place of prayer; because it was sent! It happened to me; it happened to another family member! You must use your deep fryer for any intensive frying. Since then , aside frying egg; every other thing is baking or boiling!

  7. The Value of Money (Inspiring Short Story about Self-Worth)
At the beginning of a new school year, a class teacher stands up in front of her students holding a #1000 bill.

She tells them, “Put your hands up if you want this money”.

Every hand in the room goes up, to which the teacher says, “I am going to give this money to someone here, but first, let me do this…”

She takes the bill and crumples it up in her hands, before asking, “Who still wants it?”

    The hands stay up.

The teacher then drops the bill on the floor, stomps and grinds it into the ground, and picks it back up. “How about now?” she asks again.

    The hands stay up.

“Class, I hope you see the lesson here. It didn’t matter what I did to this money, you still wanted it because its value stayed the same. Even with its creases and dirtiness, it’s still worth #1000.”

She continues, “It’s the same with us. There will be similar times in your life when you’re dropped, bruised, and muddied. Yet no matter what happens, you never lose your value.”

    Moral of the story:
Life’s hardships are inevitable and we’ll all be put through the ringer at some point, often through no fault of our own.

Don’t let these challenges alter your feelings of self-worth.

Christ in me is my hope of glory! No sickness, disease, or infirmity can clasp itself to my body. There’s no place for the devil in my life because I am full of the Holy Spirit at all times. 9. We all have things we’re believing for. One day we’re going to get well, one day we’re going to break the addiction, one day we’re going to meet the right person. We’ve prayed, we’re standing in faith, waiting for it to happen. But Jesus gives us an important principle in Mark 11. He said, “Whatever you ask for when you pray, believe that you have received it, and you will have it.” He didn’t say believe that it’s going to happen, believe that you’re going to see things turn around. He said believe that you receive when you pray. Believe that it happened right there, not in a week, not in a month, but right when you prayed, things changed in your favor. God set the miracle in motion.

Married a married man, dumped him for her friend's father, then left him for a pastor, let him be praying for her after she has destroyed her life. Not stereotyping but I heard some ladies from that area specialize in hooking guys with Africa magic, even the wife will be so welcoming and accommodating, you'll be wondering what's going on.

    1. The lady should sue that doctor for tying her womb without her permission and for divulging her private stuff. She can make money from the case and also teach other doctors a lesson.
Not supporting what she did but what kind of doctor was that?

  22. Haaaaaaaaaaaaa just one person did all dis nawaooooo. Honestly I think lack of contentment is what drives ladies to all dis lifestyles funny enough i just finished speaking with a friend who works as a very big lounge and she was trying me all what the ladies are doing dia. This girls have not 1 not 2 but 3-4 married men as sugar daddies and they fund their lifestyles. Throughout that conversation my mind kept going to what happens 4-5 years when dis person wants to settle down ???? What if they end up meeting men whose dad Dey’ve slept with. Omooooooo eh see how dis lady just destroyed her life even when she got married to the first man she was still cheating πŸ˜’πŸ˜’πŸ˜’

  27. what Stellz wrote abut doctor-patient confidentiality...hmm. Heard that a Naija woman here working in local authority (council) informed her son about his wife's benefits history and the son jokingly told the wife. Kia, the woman just reported her mil to the council and she got sacked.

  28. Good afternoon everyone,I agree with Stella @Pinkys corner.

The doctors shouldn't have given out her medical report, o wrong na.
Anyways I wish her speedy recovery.

  29. Pinky those doctors are not real doctors and they have failed with what they signed to do. The doctors has no right to open up her past without asking for permission from her. I will not support a woman selling her body or doing terminating unwanted pregnancy. But shit happens and one may turn a new leaf, allow them to open up to their partner and not expose them. If that woman survive it, she will sue those doctors.

Some secrets are better taken to the grave than play good person and miss it out. If you trust your partner to stand by you no matter the issue just open up else please take that secret to the grave.

Use your brain and don't allow someone who has no focused mislead you. That your husband that is not beating you but has some little attitudes you don't like..Aunty, hold him well.

See ehn, men are mumu to default if you are patient. You tend to control your man if you can study him well and do some few things he likes most. No be juju ooooo, I swear. That a man, that loves to was ur panties or do some cooking no be say na juju. Some old time couples in here will explain better.

Don't be pushed to leaving your husband because he is facing financial challenges or because your friend's husband is taking good care of them. You will loose at the end and that ur friend deceiving you won't accept you staying in their apartment.

    Learn fast..

Again, learn from hard working women like you and not just go into marriage because he is rich. What happens when there is a financial crisis? You begin to regret the day you met him abi..I laugh. You can start something big with that miney you have now as a singlr instead of wasting them on different deodorant, shoes and unnecessary items.

Women generally (with no exception) loves impulse buying. Some are wise enough to to using scale of preference while some are just "anywhere bele face"

  33. Good afternoon my good people of SDK blog.
@pinky's story is such a sad one.

  34. Yes, the doctors weren't supposed to expose her. It was very unethical but I am happy she was exposed.

I will gladly appreciate anyone who exposes someone I am dating if they have any skeleton in their cupboard especially when I have asked over and over again if there is anything I need to know from their past that could affect the relationship and they kept lying that there was none. I am happy Joseph found out the truth.

That aside, Pinky, I noticed your emphasis on 'This gender' like you were pandering to the desire of some you feel might be offended because your write-ups focus more on a few flawed men(which I don't think is your fault after all you only get to post the stories you hear and unfortunately and coincidentally, most are male-centred) like you want to appease and make it known that you also castigate the women.

Don't join the bandwagon of men who drag women and women who drag men. Post those stories as they come rather than pressuring yourself to balance it all to assuage a guilt you don't even need to feel.

Nobody writes a comment and thinks, "What will Pinky think of my comment, will he approve it or have a problem with it' before they type" So please don't bother pleasing anyone or trying to engage in unnecessary gender battles going on here.
You also do not need to take my advice so in a way my comment up there also applies to me.

PS. I'm writing this because I noticed what you did in the morning.

  40. “Men should speak up” you say. But the men that spoke up, what happened?

Did you listen or did you try to play the victim, twist the narrative and get defensive?

Until women begin to also listen to husbands, many issues will not be sorted.

  47. Went to register my mum's ward in school yesterday and a man came with a complaint.

The man's daughter had a child outside wedlock. She then gave this child to her mum who is a nanny in this high school to nurse. So this grandma now brings the child to school. The proprietor is asking the child to pay school fees. According to him, whatever they realise is what they use to pay salaries.

    Who agrees with him?

Most of the scary stories I send in here has the consent of either the victim or someone close to the victim.

That aside, I make sure I introduce most of them to this blog so they can read along the comments. This especially, the victim is right here in anonymous mode reading.

Again, I don't post stories without evidence and the ones that does not want me to give full details, i try as much as possoble to be discret about it.
