  1. This issue is not funny to me. Spraying money is our culture. It makes an occasion merry. Efcc should not be master of all trade. They are everywhere while looking away from their main responsibilities.

  4. Trust Nigerians to always come up with solutions to every restrictions. A club here has printed it's own naira note. You exchange the naira for the notes which has almost equivalent value and you spray anyhow you like. Make efcc continue dey mumu dey go.

  7. It's terrible for any government to label productive people as convicts, knowing all that it entails for their socioeconomic chances going forward just to defend notes that are actually staining clothes.

The people who celebrate this abuse of state resources just don't get it.

Baba who introduced this law did it as a bitter near-convict who left prison a pauper. The moment he was able to secure huge farming facilities, started receiving millions of dollars as contribution to his library from those who he favoured in his government, he also became a sprayer and sprayee. Na sapa day worry Baba that time, no be patriotism.

Even before any minted currency , Yoruba people have always sprayed money as a tender means of showing support or honour "ki a ye eyan si" using cowrie shells and after that, with coins. Their musical instruments like shekere have money on them and was reserved as fit for for kings , those with means and nobles as in "shekere loba n Jo". It's no one's fault that Baba was bitter about his low station of birth and still beefing God and battling a complex about this. It's also not the fault of the Yorubas that their culture is one that doesn't begrudge wealth or achievement and one that actively supports the hospitality, entertainment and cultural industries without which many of the poor millions rejoicing over these kinds of arrest won't be able to eat.
