(3) Understand what envy is telling you about what needs to be changed for you to reach your destiny. Pray, 'God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.'
(4) If feasible, spend time with the person you envy and learn more about their secrets of success. In the process, you may realise they're battling problems that put your envy into perspective.
(5) When someone is mentioned with appreciation and admiration, instead of making a negative comment about them, speak words of praise.
(6) Reject seeing another person's success as your failure. Instead of thinking their blessings came at your expense, start believing that the God who blessed them wants to bless you too.

ReplyDeleteYesterday, two women who came to buy stuff from me were discussing domestic violence, One was a tailor. They said a lady came for dress fitting and as the tailor was zipping her dress, she noticed the lady had marks all over her back and shoulders, she (the tailor) now asked her what happened to her back and the lady revealed her horseband flogs her on the back, she does not wear revealing clothes because of this. Her horseband has a thick koboko that he uses to flog her. He also has koboko of different sizes for the kids, according to their ages.

It was as if I should chase both of them away with the anger in me.
After being flogged as a child regularly in school(stubborn girl in school) and once in a while at home (I was well behaved at home 🤣), I should start receiving another round of flogging in marriage again? Dem use sufferness swear for me?
They now looked for my trouble and asked what my opinion was. I told them that any woman that sits back and allows a man to continue beating her is stupid and that men that beat their wives are animals. They were shocked.
To think that I have never received koboko in my whole life, I don't even know how it feels like to be flogged with one. I only know about normal slim stick, normal wire and ruler, one man will now let me know it, God forbid.
