The arrest, was carried out after a tip off from vigilant members of the community who alerted the authorities to the suspect’s suspicious movements.
Preliminary findings revealed that Oghenebreme was allegedly transporting the organs from Edo State to deliver them to a native doctor for use in suspected money-making rituals.
The recovered human body parts have since been deposited at the Epe General Hospital for safekeeping, while the case has been handed over to the Edo State Police Command for further investigation and potential prosecution.
Commending the swift action of his officers and the vigilance of the Odomola residents, the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Olohundare Jimoh, stressed the power of timely intelligence in combating crime.
He further urged Lagosians to remain alert and report any suspicious behaviour or individuals to the nearest police station without delay.
