CAN Slams Prophet Fufeyin For Claiming Giving 1st Fruit Can Wipe Away Sins

The Christian Association of Nigeria has taken a swipe at the General Overseer of Christ Mercyland Deliverance Ministry, Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin, over his claim that giving a “first fruit” offering can wipe away sins, including those committed by fraudsters.

CAN described the cleric’s claim as “heresy,” warning Nigerians against being misled by preachers of “dubious theological background.”

Although the cleric made the claim in a sermon he delivered in January 2022, the clip, which resurfaced online, has drawn criticism from many Nigerians.

The cleric, who was encouraging his members to come with their first fruits to the church, said, “Your first income, please let it pain you, try God with it. Not that there are no blessings in the year, but the first fruit that you carry once you give it unto the Lord, it breaks protocols, even your sins, it cancels them.”

    1. Even his wife is not left out in the 'miracle' performance. I saw her 'miracle' video, I was like who needs the deliverance between she and those turning like earthworm that salt was poured on? And to your questions, I'm looking for answers to it too oo

  11. I'm glad the organisation is finding it's voice. It's criminally late but at least, it's something. I hope when better spoken and more exposed people also broadcast things against the word of God in the dispensation of grace, they won't be encouraged by a loud silence from the body.

  12. These ppl have turned Christianity into a circus side show. If I was not raised within a Christian culture I would never look at it today.
