The Federal Government of Nigeria has said that the concurrent operation of three budgets is a deliberate strategy to ensure the delivery of appropriated capital projects. Director General, Budget Office of the Federation, Tanimu Yakubu, on Thursday provided clarity on the multi-budget operations.



. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed optimism that the modern bus terminals in Abuja will improve security and ease transportation challenges in the Federal Capital Territory.  Killer of a serving corps member, Salome Adaidu, Oluwatimileyin Ajayi, has been sentenced to death by hanging. A Nasarawa State High Court sitting in Lafia, yesterday, sentenced a gospel singer, Oluwatimileyin Ajayi, to death by hanging for killing his girlfriend, Salome Adaidu.

The Nigeria Police Force, through the INTERPOL National Central Bureau, NCB, Abuja, in the fight against transnational crime has rescued 4) trafficked victims and arrested seven suspects involved in cross-border criminal activities. Force Public Relations Officer, Mr Muyiwa Adejobi, who made this known, on Thursday described the operation as significant breakthrough.

 The Federal Government has disclosed that the implementation of the newly signed four tax fiscal reform laws will commence by January 1st, 2026. Addressing State House correspondents shortly after the President signed the bills into law, Chairman of the Nigeria Revenue Service, Zach Adedeji, said the modalities will be put in place ahead of the implementation.
