FRIDAY IN HOUSE MEMO

I salute.......... Summer holiday fever is everywhere...Do you feel it?

On Thursday spontaneous post, I asked why schools are now organising end of school parties...I think its too much and makes no sense...Hold the events and let each family go off to celebrate if they want and not tax people to donate monies for meaningless graduation parties.....

This is my opinion and no one can take it away.....

My weightloss journey is going well....I saw a video of Reality tv star Uirel eating boiled eggs and i felt like eating some, so i am about to boil some eggs....Yesterday i bought corn and will also roast it inside airfryer.....those will be the only things i will eat today...

Today I am making eier spatzle with minced duck, lots of veggie and cheese with some corn, brocoli and carrots......Na wah

One of my Bambino came to me after i was done with a phone call and said ''Mama i know what nacking and gbensh mean from your body language when talking on the phone but what does kpekus mean?''...my people my mouth is still on the floor.

Enjoy the rest of the day...... And dont forget to do your advert our in house news ways.....I still havent found who else to purchase something from apart from the dried fishes i bought for a friends aunt and for my sis......

INSIDE THE MIND OF A WOMAN GOING THROUGH MOTHERHOOD

Recently, any time I ask my first to do a task or stop something, he asks why instead of immediately doing it. At first, I was angry and saw it as him being defiant and would snap at him. Then I remembered a parenting book I read about answering the “Why” questions .

The book explained that it wasn’t a display of defiance or rebellion when a child questions things instead of just doing as they are told, the “why” questions should be treated as a genuine inquiry into how and why things are done the way they are.

The book also stated that when you answer the “why” question, you are encouraging your kids to be independent analytical thinkers who wouldn’t just follow the crowd.

So despite the fact that I still get pissed off at the “why” questions because I was brought up not to question adults and just always do as I am told because the adult know better ( which is definitely not true).

I would have been slapped to reset my brain if I had questioned my parents the way I was being questioned. But this is the reason why I am trying to parent differently, kids are human who deserve to be heard and seen and also encouraged to be the best of version of themselves.

Most times, when I patiently explain things to my boy, I see his expression change from a confused look to truly understanding the reasons behind the instructions. I am not always patient, though. I am also learning. It’s hard when a simple task leads to an unending “why”question .

A few days ago, after a series of "why" questions, I didn’t know when I shouted “ Ma fi ejo pa mi” “Don’t kill me with long talks”.

Hehehehehehehehehhehe you didnt tell us what you said after you told him not to kill you with long talks...

You don’t need to rush healing. You don’t have to have it all figured out.
Just keep remembering: you are more than what hurt you.
