Lydia was confronted by her husband, who they say unexpectedly resigned from his job.
He locked the door behind her when she stepped into the house, and allegedly stabbed her multiple times in the stomach, neck, shoulder, hand, and head.
She managed to escape, but her mother was later found inside the house with multiple stab wounds and she was unresponsive.
Their two children were present in the house but were not physically harmed.
Mr Ogbejiele was arrested the next day with self-inflicted injuries.
He is facing charges of first-degree murder, attempted murder, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, forcible confinement and choking.

He is scheduled to make an appearance in bail court at the Sudbury Courthouse on Wednesday July 16, 2025.
Lydia is recovering from her injuries and has launched a GoFundMe campaign to repatriate her mother’s body to Nigeria for burial.

The man Lucky is my child hood friend, ever since he relocated the family abroad 2 years ago the wife turned a devil and frustrated him, the mother inlaw came and caused more problems, they even told him he was not the father of his 2 boys

DeleteNot saying this is what happened in this case because I know nothing about any of these ppl. But it is known that schizophrenia does occur in a small percentage of immigrants within 5 years of moving, majority of the times it will be just one episode. Nobody knows what causes the mental breakdown but it happens within the immigrant population, again, a very small percentage and it does not matter where the immigrant is from. Perhaps this is what happened here.

God help us. Japa has its own pressure. Some people are unable to settle down within two three years of immigrating that alone makes them feel edgy n unsatisfied especially if one person was coerced into the dream ( as per husband n wife did not see it as a great leap jointly) so when it doesn't work out as planned the other party who did not believe in the dream becomes the valian.
