Singer Omawumi Shuts Down What Colleague Timaya Said About Her And Singer Waje

Singer Omawumi has shut down colleague Timaya's claim of a Young Burna Boy asking her and singer Waje to leave the studio.




In a recent interview with Naija FM,Lagos, Omawumi said;
"See eh, I don't know whether I dey pray make person ask me this question don't mind that 'ekpa', make I cut the story, that thing no happen.

So the thing wey pain me inside the matter and I happy as you bring am up, Timaya and I have been friends for years, I dey accord everybody respect and me I dey very big on respect that's why I reciprocate, I don't like to yearn so that person no go yearn the one wey go pain me, that's how I am, if you ask around
And I've built this craft, you know as e dey be when person go call me for interview and ask wetin I no like, I go just change am.

First of all, my irritation be say you dey try make point about something, wetin concern me, wetin bring my name?
And you wey be Timaya wey dey talk all these things, plenty example dey wey you don dey in that kin environment wey no good but I no go come because of say I wan release music and I go come refer to somebody, I go say omawumi and waje..Why?

Meanwhile, the boy himself, you don hear am tok that kin thing before? anytime you see the boy, he dey salute us well. For almost 20 years wey I don build my craft... because na bad news na em dey reign pass good news, next thing everybody wey wan put story, they go say you no know that omowumi wey they throw out of Studio since when na, your beans ni done, you no know how you go take cook your beans na em you dey come call my name.

So I was very irritated by that, I come talk say whether I go answer Timaya, should I dance in the mud? Because I don't know what his intention was, I don't care if he was saying that in a bad light, why am I in the light in the very first place?.
That thing no happen, to give you context,the only time I've been in same space with Burna Boy and Waje and I think Timaya popped in was in like 2010 and na Waje dey do song with Burna Boy, he hosted us,gave us drink, everybody was having fun, it was late for me, I had to go, he left the studio, went outside, I was like where's Burna, he was outside so I went outside, I was like guy I dey go he said okay, make e be later o, thank you for coming and that was it ,so I no know where this get out of our studio is coming from and let it be known now (points at the interviewer)and God go bless you for asking that question...Egba Timaya!!!.
