It is not advisable for anyone who is NOT stupendously rich to vie for an Obaship position in today’s Yorubaland else the person will begin to point torchlight to avenues of making extra money and get frustrated or envious if it doesn’t happen. Kings feed hundreds of people, pay school fees, medical bills and take care of so much for many people. It seems this person, a project manager in Canada was just a regular upper middle class person who now realizes the financial pressures. At the root of all these is money or the potential for making money, the knowledge that someone has money etc else who cares about titles?
