ReplyDeleteVery moving short tribute. I've been crying today from watching Toke's baby shower videos to this, from someone having something they desperately wished, cried and prayed 😭 for years to have to another still mourning a pain and loss they'll live with forever.

In this context, from the image on her wedding ring bearing her beloved son Ifeanyi's face, I think she's trying to tell the world that he(Ifeanyi), her best friend walked her into forever (marital journey).
DeleteIn another context, I feel like others may think it that she's trying to tell Ify her beloved son of blessed memory, that her best friend and his dad (Davido) walked her into forever.
Whichever way though, it's such a touching tribute.

ReplyDeleteNo parent should ever go through this kind of pain. But in her context he did walk her into forever ( marriage). In the Igbo culture boyfriends don’t claim children.so for Davido to bury his son he must marry her if not , the lady’s family buries the child so there’s where the walking her into forever came in. The tragedy played a major role in the marriage. May God continue to give them and every other parent going through same pain strength to bear the lose. No parent deserves to loose a child

DeleteShe is literally wearing a pic of Ify as she walks down the aisle on her wedding day. That’s what she means by he walked her into forever, the way a father walks a bride down the aisle into her forever/marriage.
This loss still pains me no be small. Sorry Chioma, may you not have to go through this kind of pain again.
