
During a recent interview with African Voices, she was quoted saying;
"There are things that social media can never do for us that literature does for us, people should consume social media less of You ask me.
But No, I don't worry that social media would take the place of literature, it cannot, I mean literature...you just can't
Social media is actually quite bad for our brains, it's rewiring out brains and it also really compressing our ability to focus, literature does the opposite.
So I think that people will always read, I don't doubt that
But I think that I do worry about having fewer people caring about literature but we can change that, I think there a kind of unquestioning acceptance of different types of social technologies that surprises me.
I think we should question the social media AI, I really do think so, the few people who are telling us how out future as human beings should be and that is very troubling to me.
This is in fact the time to be questioning AI for many reasons, we haven't reached a global consensus about what AI suppose to do, I think we're just looking at it objectively, you can see all of the possibilities for disaster".
I agree but I just cannot read fiction anymore.
