The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, has arrested an Indian businessman, Gupta Ravi Kumar, alongside three Nigerian accomplices, over a N3.9 billion tramadol shipment intercepted at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, MMIA, Lagos. The suspects, Ogunlana Olanrewaju, Olushola Kayode, and Bakare Muheeb, were linked to 2,248,000 pills of tramadol 200mg/225mg imported from Delhi, India.


There is apprehension among Nigerians and energy sector stakeholders as Dangote Refinery begins fuel distribution nationwide with its Compressed Natural Gas trucks, today, Monday, September 15, 2025,
During the weekend, hundreds of Dangote refinery’s trucks have already hit Nigerian roads from Lekki-Epe Expressway, Lagos State.
The $20 billion refinery had announced that it invested N720 billion to import 4,000 compressed natural gas trucks; however, reports had it that around 1000 have been delivered.

The Administrator of Rivers State, Vice Admiral (Rtd) Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas, has said the state was torn by divisions, instability, and broken trust before the intervention of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who appointed him to preside over the state for six months.  A yet-to-be-identified female police inspector attached to the Lagos State Command may face dismissal or demotion after being arrested for allegedly defrauding a complainant of N915,000 in a failed rice supply deal. It was gathered from a police source on Saturday that the officer was arrested after a complainant (name withheld) reported her at the command headquarters on Wednesday, September 11.

 The African Democratic Congress has refuted a report that the Independent National Electoral Commission has validated and released a list of the party’s state chairmen across Nigeria’s 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory. In a statement released on Sunday by the party’s spokesperson, Bolaji Abdullahi, via his official X account, the ADC national leadership clarified that INEC has issued no such confirmation, either officially or unofficially.

 The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has forecast thunderstorms and rainfall across the country from Monday to Wednesday. NiMet’s weather outlook, released on Sunday in Abuja, predicted isolated thunderstorms with moderate rains on Monday morning over Kaduna, Gombe, Bauchi, Kebbi, Adamawa, and Taraba states.
