England women’s National football team head coach, Sarina Wiegman mentioned Nigerian Afrobeats star, Burna Boy, while receiving her Women’s Coach of the Year award at 2025 Ballon d’Or ceremony on Monday September 22, 2025 at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris.
She said
“Let’s celebrate our successes. And if Burna Boy is around, maybe we would do a little bit of dancing too,” she said amid cheers.
Wiegman has previously revealed that Burna Boy’s collaborative hit with British pop star, Ed Sheeran, ‘For My Hand’ was her most played song of 2023 on Spotify.
