The fire which claimed about 6 lives at Afriland building was reportedly caused by Inverter Batteries......Sources say that the fire started at the basement and made it difficult for some to exit the building...While some jumped, the others had their lives snuffed out by smoke from the fire..

ReplyDeleteWho is managing the building? What fire procedures were put in place in case there is fire. They evacuation plans. It is very important in every high rise building. And fire drills must be held periodically. Fire from batteries are very difficult and challenging to put out. Even in the west fire from batteries are very difficult to extinguish. But if good fire drill and evacuation plans are in place this kind of things could be managed.
