Singer Akon's Wife Tomeka Files For Divorce Days Before Their 29th Wedding Anniversary

Akon (real name Aliaune Badara Thiam) and Tomeka Thiam his wife of nearly 29 years are parting ways as Tomeka has filed for divorce just days before their 29th anniversary, citing irreconcilable differences.



Tomeka who married Akon on September 15, 1996, filed on September 12, 2025
She is seeking joint legal custody and sole physical custody of their 17-year-old daughter, Journey
She’s requesting spousal support and asking the court to block Akon from receiving any support from her
