LADIES PLEASE DATE A SAFE MAN

If you're healing from a relationship that left you questioning your worth, or if you're dating again and wondering what kind of love is safe, this is for you.

Please, marry a man who respects you even when he's angry.

Anyone can be sweet when things are easy.
Anyone can be charming when they’re getting their way.
But the real test of a man’s character isn’t how he acts when he’s happy, it’s how he behaves when he’s hurt, frustrated, or upset.
Love is not proven in the good times.
It’s proven in the tension, in the conflict, in the moments when emotions run high.
Because anger is never an excuse for disrespect.

Being upset doesn’t give him permission to raise his voice

Being frustrated doesn’t justify calling you names.

Being angry doesn’t excuse cruel or demeaning words.

Being hurt doesn’t make it okay to use your insecurities against you.
Let that be clear ....

His emotions do not give him the right to harm yours.
His worst moments should still show his love.
Even in disagreement, he should protect your dignity.
Even in conflict, he should be kind.

Even when he’s hurting, he should never want to hurt you.
A good man doesn’t weaponize your vulnerability.

A mature man doesn’t punish you with silence or threats.

A safe man doesn’t storm off or blow up when things get hard.
He talks. He listens. He stays. He respects.
You deserve to feel safe in love .....
Because a safe love never raises its voice at you

Yes,you have made the blog a community of some sort but it doesn't give you the right to talk anyhow just because some people choose to air their opinion and you don't buy it. These options aren't shut down your dry throat so chill. You are loved and you have loyalists but don't over do it cos people turn and people get cancelled!

    2. @Anonymous 15:45, while your view is striking and memorable, some of us stand as neutrals simply seeking perspective - so I’ll beg to differ.

You’ve reduced a complex matter into neat boxes of stereotypes. Witty, yes, but also a bit harsh. People don’t always fit cleanly into those categories, and in the process, real conversations about marriage, loyalty, and polygamy risk getting drowned in the noise.

That said, you were spot on with “Who and what you support says a lot about you.” Still, that truth is subjective - conviction differs. A person seen as bad by some may be cherished as good by others, and vice versa. Our reactions often depend less on absolutes and more on how someone’s choices and actions touch our own feelings.

  40. Weird Facts and words of Elders, just 🤏

    ReplyDelete
  41. @LADIES PLEASE DATE A SAFE MAN is indeed a moving piece - one of those that people instantly call “shareable wisdom.”

Although written for us, women, the truth is that safety in love applies to both sides. Men too deserve partners who don’t weaponise vulnerability. Everyone needs their peace. Infusing real, lived experiences from both perspectives would have made the message more impactful.

I do find myself cringing at the line “never raises its voice.” It feels too absolute. The reality is, voices may rise in heated conversations, yet without disrespect. Tone doesn’t always equal harshness - sometimes raised voices simply carry the urgency of emotion without crossing the line.

That said, the strength of the piece is clear. It shines light on everyday realities many ignore, setting a needed standard: emotions are not a free pass for unkindness. And in an age where people often confuse intensity for intentionality, it reminds us that intentionality is not love - it can be a conceited manipulation. And safety in love is not about avoiding conflict, but about keeping respect at the centre of every disagreement.
