I read a disheartening, annoying story about some schools in Nigeria, that sedate babies in the Creche, so that the babies will not disturb, and the nannies can rest. These kids will sometimes sleep, until the parents come to pick them up. These sedatives sometimes affect the kids and their developmental phases. You as a parent, would be wondering why your baby is slow and dull. You no go know say the Creche dey kee your pikin.
ReplyDeleteDear parents, shine your eye. Be smart. Don't just dump your babies anywhere because you are looking for daily bread. Please, do thorough checks. Ask questions. Check your baby properly, and be very attentive.
No kind evil wey people no go perpetrate for dis Naija. Even against little innocent babies o.

DeleteThis is why as parents, don't have a routine or time table when picking up your kids. Just take them by surprise, close early from work and see what's happening at your kids' school.
DeleteWhen we were looking for a school for our son as a baby, we went to a school and saw that the kids were all sleeping as at 10am, my husband out of curiosity, had to asked why they were all sleeping that early, the caregiver's response was that they've eaten and needed to sleep cos that's what babies do. All the kids o. So strange abeg. We didn't use their service. One just have to be vigilant abeg.
This is a horrible development. Lord have mercy !
