Chronicle Of A Person Living With A Positive Status

I read a comment on this blog where the anon said a girl tested positive and swore to spread it to as many as she can.

Well, let me advice anyone that may have this kind of mentality, first, some men may be lucky and will not contact it from her but may end up giving her more deadlier diseases that will not be as manageable as hiv.....

hiv is very manageable but once you start having other std's , it'll now become a concussion of virus in your system.

Secondly, if she's already on drugs, she's just deceiving herself as she can't infect anyone and if she refuses to take her drugs so that she can be able to infect people, I pity her cos by the time the virus multiplies in her system, she'll be begging death to come.

I've seen people in their last stage and I pray never to get there and I know the only way for one not to get there is to know your status early and start your medications without missing doses.

Some people on last stage don't even survive for more than a few weeks cos at that stage little can be done to save their lives.

My brother my sister, get tested today!

Hiv doesn't present symptoms atimes,I didn't fall sick at all before my diagnosis. So don't think your body will tell you if you get it, sometimes it doesn't present any symptoms and before you know it, the person is heading towards last stage

  1. I think most Nigerians don't do routine medical checkup. They only do when they fall sick.

Though running a comprehensive test in today's Nigeria is so expensive but one has to try once in a whil. If possible, save for it. There are ailment when detected earlier, helps in its management. Ailment such as Cancer when discovered earlier, can be managed effective and curtailed before it spread all over the body.

In Nigeria, some people believe only when they are sick that they need treatment. Sickness can start developing in one's body without that person feeling sick. We shouldn't be leaving things to chances. I saw what leukemia did to a young lady and it was so terrible.

  4. I remember when this disease was ravishing gay communities in the US in the 80s, the look of those last stagers would put the fear of God in you. A terrible sight to see the sunken eyes and stuck out cheeks with bodies just skin and bones. I think many ppl gave up promiscuity after seeing those photos. Fast forward to now, so few ppl care about hiv or promiscuity. Drugs like Prep and top notch antiretrovirals on the market, and hiv has become a dying concern among seckually active folks.
