The Nigeria Police Force has said it is yet to be served with the order of the Federal High Court stopping the enforcement of tinted-glass permits. Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, disclosed this on Saturday while reacting to reports that the court had restrained the police from arresting or prosecuting motorists over tinted glasses.

Ondo State Police Command on Saturday said it had arrested no fewer than 10 men over the robbery incident which occurred in the Igoba Community in Akure North Local Government Area of the state. It was gathered that the hoodlums allegedly attacked the community on Thursday and stole some items from the residents at gunpoint. They also allegedly injured some of their victims.

Nigeria Police Force says its Border Patrol Unit has intercepted over 100 jerrycans of Premium Motor Spirit, commonly known as petrol, in separate operations aimed at curbing cross-border smuggling. Force spokesman, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, in a statement on Saturday, said operatives on stop-and-search duties along the Illela–Sokoto Highway arrested one Yasir Adamu, who was found transporting 80 jerrycans of petrol.

A truck has crushed five people to death at the Alapoka axis of the Papalanto–Ilaro Road, Yewa South Local Government Area of Ogun State. It was learnt on Saturday from the spokesperson for the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency, Babatunde Akinbiyi, that the accident occurred at about 8:30 p.m. on Friday.

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mr Nyesom Wike, on Saturday, assured timely completion of ongoing road projects across the FCT. Wike gave the assurance in Abuja, while inspecting the ongoing constructions of Wuye to Ring Road II Road and the dual carriageway from Airport Road to Kuje.
