Footballer Romelu Lukaku Accuses Relatives Of Extortion Over His Father’s Burial
Footballer Romelu Lukaku said on Instagram that some of his relatives tried to extort him and his brother Jordan during plans for their father’s burial. He added that he now understands why his father didn’t want him to associate with certain people.He said that they were denied the opportunity to bury their father in Brussels as planned because individuals allegedly refused to release his body unless financial demands were met.

If the father never lived in Europe or declared wanting to be buried there then it would cause contention in the family. I remember when one of my uncle’s wife decided to bury him in the US and not where he was born and all his siblings were upset.
ReplyDeleteI feel bad that they lost their father who was still so young but parents need to declare openly what they want to happen with them after death, especially if they are dealing with an illness. I do not know why ppl do not want to discuss death when it is something that must happen. All these things that we prioritize in life are not certain, the only one that is for sure is death and folks need to put things in order so that family contentions don’t happen.
