Former Gov Fayose Says 3 More Govs Will Soon Dump PDP

Former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, has revealed that three more governors elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, will soon resign from the party.

Fayose made this disclosure on Wednesday while responding to questions in an interview on Politics Today, a programme on Channels Television monitored by Daily post
He said

“Let me tell you, there are three more governors that will leave soon. There will be five remaining. The five remaining, one of them will struggle to catch the ticket, and they all know that the ticket is an ordinary tissue paper,” Fayose said.
They are largely killing the party because they want to control it. This is what happened in 2023,”

  6. Those left, I think about 5, are actively working for Asiwaju. Makinde and Mohammed will likely fly the party's flag- keeps Atiku away and gives him a reason to regret bungling an election that was given to him by the CPC cabal to win free of charge. Without keeping him out, he won't appreciate the sacrifices of those who supported him 4 times only for him to jet off to Dubai while others build the party.

Makinde and Wike will forever be chummy. Bala realises he got too impatient and arrogant - his sins and minister and during the last primaries still haunting him. Running may cost him a senate seat but will Bauchi APC sit on the fence for the next PDP governor to rule over them via defection?

Adeleke is politically homeless. Ede won't continue voting till midnight unlike the last time. Those in APC don't want to wait another 4 years for someone they can clear with Osogbo votes. If the house holds, he is a gunner so they are holding their house door against him.

Kefas is playing to the gallery over a decision he has already made. Soludo, Otti, Gida Gida are compliant. Like Adeleke, Plateau would have left but for vacancy party chairman and his godfather are not too comfortable with a move. Yobe has repented, Zamfara is fully cooperative, the problem is the locked door.

Those who shout rigging by those who forgot to rig themselves in will understand the place of a structure with sub nationals in the coming election. Ask those governors who crashed out or finished who they actually worked for in 2023.

The 1st governors not to need loans since 1999 and are getting 2-3 times their previous allocation, LGA chairmen seeing their chances at fiscal independence and state policing won't pass up the chance to return the favour. No controversy regarding vacancy in 2027. It's just the truth. Campaign started with that swearing in speech-"subsidy is fine", decentralising funding and blame. AASU will return to school after their break. AD/ACN is not CPC.

Those who say you don't need governors still claim elections were rigged by 11 governors who couldn't rig themselves in. They have the chance to be fins but will decline.
