  3. Good afternoon SDK family
Please I'm about to graduate from the university and I studied strategic communication, right from when I got the admission till now that I'm about to graduate, I haven't figured out what to do with my life after school, where do I look for jobs and I come from a very poor family who struggled to send me to school, what jobs can I do with this certificate, someone I spoke to called it a useless course, please help me

    1. Big lie from the pit of hell!!! It is not a useless course....Careers from your course: Brand & Marketing, Marketing and communication, PR e.t.c....You can turn out to be the Chief Communication Officer of any organization....Learn to believe in yourself, if you keep listening or allowing people to project into your course of study; you will have yourself to blame.....

    2. God bless you Phoenix for your encouragement, I'm really grateful and relieved

    3. No course is useless in this generation. The world is your oyster. As saint said, believe in God and have confidence in yourself and there is nothing you can’t do.

      Potential jobs for strategic communication:
      Journalism
      Public Relations Manager
      Content Marketing Manager
      Director of communications
      Human Resources manager
      Writer
      Editor

When you graduate, do not stay at home. Go out there and find a place to do graduate training, even voluntary ones. It will help your progression.

      Good luck.

  6. My people good afternoon.
I've been on a journey to japa for some time now. I don do research iupon research, do country specific CV and cover letter tire. I cannot afford their school fees, that's why I'm looking for a job there. Right now I don't mind going to any good country again, I no select again.
What am I doing wrong? What else can I do to succeed? Please advise me.

    1. You have to be specific in whatever you want. Questions to ask yourself:

What skills or qualifications have I got to get a job abroad?

Can I survive in a non-English speaking country as one of the requirement for a job will be fluency in the language.

How much savings have I got? It is not easy living outside your country . You may not get support/ help.

Research the country, read a lot about racism and discrimination. It is subtle and very much a thing abroad.

No matter how hard Nigeria is, do not be desperate to leave because the worst thing that can happen to any Nigerian is to be an undocumented immigrants. God forbid it for you because it is not easy for them at all.

    2. I personally feel grounded dry crayfish taste better. I don't grind it very smooth and I add it few minutes before I bring down the soup.

    3. Same, wet is just less at the immediate tasting cos of the water dilution

  8. Please, how can one handle people who only respond to your greeting bur will never greet you? Like, you are the one that greets first always, and it's not as if they are older than you? How?..

    ReplyDelete

    1. Stop greeting.

    2. Stop greeting them. Simple.

    3. They know what they are doing. They don't rate you. They see themselves more superior than you. It's not about age. It's about ego and class mentality. Press the ignore on them. Don't give them the opportunity to redicle your emotions and ego. If it's an office space, anyday you enter office before them. Don't greet them except they greet you. If work requires you to speak with them, forget about greetings and go straight to the point. Know your worth and everyone will align.

    4. What are you gaining from greeting? If you sell something and the person is a customer or potential one, greet

    5. Match their energy. They have traits of narcissism. They don’t empathise, the things that break them into pieces is indifference and lack of attention.

When you see the person next time, keep a straight face. Let your face be emotionless. If they greet you, answer and continue what you are doing. Do not give them any attention at all.

They panic when they lose control, starve them with it.

Come back and tell us how the person reacted.

    6. I have lots of them in my son school. I have already stoped greeting few of them. How can I be the only one greeting you always, they won’t even open their mouth to respond very well. When ever I see them I look away. Two later started greeting me, the rest we continue.

  9. Isn't NIN registration supposed to be free? My children school are asking for 3500 for NIN registration. Please someone please enlighten me

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. No, it's not free. It's 5k outside (other places)

      Delete
    2. Completely free. Do it yourself before they buy shawarma on your head.

    3. Remember that your children school is not nimc office. So whoever is coming there for the enrollment must be adequately compensated.

Also take note that there are logistic issues associated with nin for children especially, which includes printing and lamination.

If you don't pay for these services, who will?

      Delete
    4. NIN registration is free. If you're in Lagos, take them to secteriat at alausa. I spent three hundred naira only for the lamination. You will need to leave home early because the place is always crowded.

      Delete
    5. Probably transportation fee because they are bringing the nin workers over, or internet registration fee.

      Delete
    6. NIN reg. for children? I thought its only for adults.

It is supposed to be free but they are all charging to do it. They call the charges administration fee.

Question them if you are in doubt.
