INSIDE THE MIND OF A WOMAN GOING THROUGH MOTHERHOOD

My kids have been keeping me on my feet this week, let me gist you. My kids love scribbling, I allow them to scribble a lot, they also scribble on each other’s body, including mine.
I have never been bothered by it. They scribble on each other’s faces, too. I have always considered it funny.

Some days back, I decided to take a nap before going out to meet someone important, I woke up a bit late, and I rushed to dress up and go. I didn’t check the mirror as I was about stepping out. My sister called me back and was laughing so hard. She said madam whiskers abeg check mirror. I went back, and on my face was large whiskers drawn everywhere with black and blue marker.

I was shocked, fine. I have always looked the other way and even laughed when they drew on each other’faces, but they had never crossed the line with me until then. Now we have a new rule in my house, no more scribbling on the face and neck .
I still had to go out like that since the marker wasn’t coming off easy, and you can imagine the stares.
Although I laugh anytime I remember but it mustn’t happen again. Imagine if I had a more serious meeting. How would I have coped?.
Also, there is this hair product I like to use. It smells like pina colada, I hardly get it to buy in the stores. Any time I stumble on it, I try to buy extra, so I stumbled on one yesterday. I bought it, and I was looking forward to washing my hair and using this product when I was done.

It makes me feel this self pampering satisfaction when I do.
I left my room for barely ten minutes and when I was coming back the smell of pineapple , coconut and menthol filler the air, I was busy enjoying the smell, I walked into my room to see that my princess had broken the seal and emptied the whole bottle on the bed and all over her body.

I was shocked, cos she is not supposed to be around strong smelling substances, how much more emptying a whole bottle on herself.
She was busy shaking the bottle to make sure it was empty while smiling at me .
I had to wash her up for the fourth time that day because she kept getting into things and clean up the room until it was safe for her to sleep in it without the smell.
My back was aching like crazy when I was done . In this past week, the relief and dance of joy that I do and feel when they finally sleep is something else.

Chei i had a good laugh but these kids are really a handful oooooo

NOTORIOUS FOR JESUS
THE CARELESS MUM.

Last night, We had just came in and the light in my room was turned off. My phone began to ring and I fumbled around, desperately trying to pick before it stopped but the phone was way underneath my bag.

In that struggle, I remembered my daughter was right beside me. So I told her to “Please, switch on the light.” She jumped up quickly, eager to help her mother and In her overzealousness, she ran straight to the switch but before I could caution her to be careful, she laid her hands against a live wire that was not properly tucked away.

She screamed as the current surged through her. My heart nearly left me but I quickly grabbed her and pulled her away. The scream was so loud it attracted my husband who came rushing in from the sitting room.

When he saw what had happened, Instead of comfort, he broke out in anger and rained abuses on me for my carelessness. He shouted that my foolish mistake could have cost us our child. And I knew he was right. All I could do was apologize over and over.
We have decided to let my husband handle all electrical issues henceforth. We equally warned our children never to touch any appliances at home.

But why was it not fixed before then?

MISTAKES FOOLISH MEN MAKE
Some men think they are wise, but their foolishness is louder than a generator at 2 AM.
They spend on random women, ignore their families, and behave like big boys until reality humbles them.
If you want a peaceful and successful life, avoid these 5 foolish mistakes:

1. YOU FEED STRANGERS, BUT YOUR FAMILY IS HUNGRY
Your wife asks for money to cook, you say “manage things.”
Your children need new shoes, you tell them “things are tough.”
But when a slay queen sends “Hey baby, I’m craving pizza”,
you’re already on your way to Domino’s like a delivery man.

 BREAKING NEWS:
Your own family is suffering, but you’re feeding someone who is only with you because of your money.
Who really needs deliverance here?

2. YOU ENJOY LIFE OUTSIDE, BUT YOUR HOME IS A WAR ZONE

You’re “outside” every weekend, drinking, dancing,
calling yourself “big man”, while your wife is at home,
thinking about how to pay rent and feed the kids.

REALITY CHECK:
One day, you’ll return home broke,
and the woman you abandoned will be the only one standing by you.
By then, it might be too late.

3. YOU’RE INVESTING IN SOMEONE ELSE’S WIFE

You think you’re helping a “babe” grow by sending her money?
She’s just waiting for a serious man to marry her.
You’re paying her bills, sponsoring her hair, nails, and data.
But when she’s ready to settle down, she will marry another man.

 CONGRATULATIONS IN ADVANCE:
You just built up another man’s wife.
Hope you’ll attend the wedding!

4. YOU THINK SHE LOVES YOU – NO, SHE LOVES YOUR WALLET

She calls you “baby” because you’re spending money,
not because she actually cares.

 WAKE UP!
The moment you go broke, she will disappear faster than free WiFi in a crowded area.
Oga, you’re not her type – your money is!

5. YOU’RE A BIG MAN OUTSIDE, BUT BROKE IN YOUR OWN HOUSE
Outside, you’re a chairman.
Inside, you’re a charity case.
Your friends see you drinking expensive whiskey,
but your children are drinking strong tea.

SAME ROOM, DIFFERENT FUTURES*

We once sat in the same classroom.
We wore the same uniforms, heard the same teachers, and wrote the same exams.
We were marked by the same red pen and measured by the same grades.
But life… life had its own syllabus.
Today, some of us carry titles like “Doctor,” “Engineer,” “Teacher,” or “Entrepreneur.”
Others carry labels no exam prepared us for: “Widow,” “Unemployed,” “Depressed,” “Gone too soon.”

We were all given the same starting line,
but we didn’t all have the same shoes, the same stamina, or the same road ahead.

Some found open doors,
others had to build their own.
Some fought silent battles no one could see,
others stood on shoulders they didn’t even know were holding them.
But every step; whether smooth or uphill, is still progress.

And the truth is: success is never just about talent or hard work.
It is most times also about timing, luck, mental health, privilege, resilience, and sometimes sheer grace.

So the next time you see a former classmate doing better than you (or worse),
remember, life is not a competition.
We are not all running the same race, even if we once sat in the same room.
If you are still here, still fighting, still showing up: you are doing better than you think.
Your journey is valid.
Your pace is fine.
Your chapter is still being written.

*THANK GOD YOU ARE STILL ALIVE & A FUTURE IS STILL UNFOLDING FOR YOU*
HAVE A BLESSED WEEKEND AHEAD*

  26. Christmas feeling don dey show face oo. I brought out my sewing machine as I kept it aside since movement to my new apartment. My neighbour saw it and asked if I sew. I told her the truth that I am just learning on my own. She said she sews very well but does not have a machine. Na there the conversation end oo. I dont know if to push it further, make I learn to sew from her while she uses my machine.
