On Saturday October 4, 2025 Honourable Stella Okotete visited two major markets in Oghara and Agbarho community to engage the hardworking traders on the importance of maintaining a clean and safe environment.
At Oghara Market, she was received with so much excitement and love and after a meaningful discussion with the LGA Council Chairman, she assured the traders of the government’s readiness to commence the construction of a modern market that will help decongest Agbarho Market.
There was urgent need for proper sanitation facilities and Hon. Stella Okotete immediately promised to build four (4) modern toilets for the market. In addition, she is already engaging both state and local government authorities on the commencement of a modern market and slaughterhouse where livestock can be properly processed and stored.
Some of the traders got grants of 200,000 to 1.5M each to upscale their trade.
At Agbarho main market, the visit came with mixed emotions. Over 80 petty traders selling , pepper, banga, fish, and other food items in front of the King’s Palace were relocated to ease traffic and beautify the Palace, which is under renovation.
Honourable Okotete met with them behind closed doors, and to cushion the effect of their relocation, gave each of them a ₦100,000 support grant to sustain their trade. She also assured them that they will be adequately accommodated in the new Oghara market project.
Before leaving, she personally supervised the cleaning of the drainage system to ensure proper water flow whenever it rains.

Warming up to contesting in 2027 - crooks in power, with little or no education and experience to justify their appointments into sensitive and technical positions. Disqualified as a Minister but qualified to be an Executive Director in NEXIM - no track record or experience in a deposit money bank or development bank. Nigeria is a disaster!
