IPOB Leader Nnamdi Kanu's Beautiful wife Favour Michael has made an emotional appeal to Justice James Omotosho of the Abuja High Court, urging him not to allow her husband to die in the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS).
In an open letter issued on October 16, 2025, she expressed deep concern over her husband’s deteriorating health and challenged the medical report presented by the Nigeria Medical Association (NMA), which claimed her husband Kanu was not in a life-threatening condition and could stand trial.
Her letter emphasized the need for urgent medical attention and justice, warning that continued detention could lead to irreversible harm.

Who listened to the leaked one hour plus voicenote of Mrs Kanu with an IPOB member?
Stella, that's not Nnamdi Kanu's wife. Her name isn't Favour Michael. Maybe misrepresentation from Vanguard news.
ReplyDeleteAll I will say is that Kanu persecution is not just on him alone but on the whole Igbo tribe. If the President can order the police and military to go out and broker peace with the northern terrorist and hold Nnamdi Kanu in detention, it speaks volume why the agitation started in the first instance.
Today it's Kanu, tomorrow it might be anyone. This isn't just about Kanu but the abuse of judicial verdicts and executive rascality at display. We'll see how it will all end.

That is her photo....she is the one in colored hair by his side and her name is Uchechi Okwu Kanu.......I copied from vanguard so i cannot correct it until they do, maybe that is the name in the letter she wrote.....
DeleteYea, I know she's the one at the photo but the name is what I was referring to. Hopefully it was a mistake from Vanguard.

prosecution & not persecution. he should have his days in court n let d court decides if he has wrong d nation or not.
DeleteWhich whole Igbo tribe? Abeg speak for your clan only.
DeleteI listened to the atrocious voice note and I am surprised she is begging for his release
ReplyDeleteNaso life be
Delete@teejay.. not prosecution on the whole of igbo nation, talk for yourself. Its not a persecution for me.... So all the people who have died because of his senseless order/ agitation are not people's husbands, wives, children, relatives etc? Do you know how many kids are orphaned because of this man? Widows, wrecked in one way or the other? Come to Imo state to see for yourself.. .. because maybe it didn't affect you directly? Burial jollof rice dey sweet until its being cooked in your compound then you will understand the pain associated with it..
ReplyDeleteThis isn't the argument or was that the only thing you comprehend from my comment?
DeleteDidn't Boko Haram and Fulani herdsmen killed people as well in the north and rendered many homeless? So what's the rational ordering peace deal to the north and incarcerating agitators in the East? Let's have that discussion if you don't mind. Do you support the selective approach? Mention one northern terrorist that has ever stand trial? Should we talk of Sokoto Kabiru that masterminded the Christmas eve bomb blast that was arrested and freed without prosecution. Do you know of the kidnapper Wadume? Do you know he has been freed even after killing several security operatives. He's a northern so he's untouchable. Should I keep mentioning?
Do you know Sunday Igboho is walking free today because he's not Igbo. Sheikh Gumi who openly supported boko haram is walking free. What about the terrorist that attended peace deal with guns and magazines on their necks are they above the law or country?
Let's be sincere for once. If Kanu is actually guilty, why were the government making him offer right from Buhari government to drop the agitation? Even this government has made its own offer as well.
Today it's Kanu and tomorrow it will be another Igbo man that will be unjustly treated and I will remind every Igbo persons that ever supported this act of injustice. You may not like Kanu but what we're talking here isn't all about Kanu and his agitations but the rule or law.

Tee jay is only speaking for himself and household. The Genesis of the insecurity in Igbo land started with this man. Lots of people have lost their homes. A lot of us ran away from home. The government should do whatever they want with him, if another person tries such, the person should go through trial too. That there is insecurity in the northern part shouldn’t make us welcome that.

Teejay or whatever they call you, Did any of the afro mentioned people /groups declare a Republic in Nigeria or calling for the country to be attacked? So Your brother Nnamdi kanu that is declaring a nation within a nation is called what? And what is the punishment for that action world wide? We are way too sentimental in this part of the world.. its is called TREASON and has consequences period!!! Let's all try and educate ourselves with happening before commenting on issues..
ReplyDeleteAnon,
DeleteI thought you were educated. Go and look at the charges on Kanu's case, there's no longer treason in it but terrorism charges. The government knew treason is dead on arrival since it's right of indigenous people as enshrined in the UN chartered act and African Union as well. You claimed to be educated and not aware of this leaves so much to be desired.
I guess you don't know the real meaning of treason. Did IPOB at any time tried to topple the government or they seek a breakout through peaceful referendum?

I forgot to add, what was Sunday igboho fighting for? You see how you people distort facts staring at us. Tomorrow you will say igboho was fighting for one Nigeria.
DeleteWhat were Boko haram agitating for? Isn't it for an Islamic state and against westernization.
Keep lying to yourself. E go reach every supporters of evil and injustice.
History will remember who stood for justice, and who hid behind politics.

Anon11:27 please breakdown in layman's term what you mean when you say this👉🏾 "So Your brother Nnamdi kanu that is declaring a nation within a nation is called what?" So I will know how much informed you are because sometimes speaking grammar is not equivalent to being knowledgeable . Let's know what you mean before one can know how to counter your claims.
DeleteTeejay I am just curious no offence intended, Are you a Woman? I have noticed that you respond to everything wether you are being addressed directly or indirectly. You seem to have so much time in your hands.. please clarify because I thought its only women that do such so I am a bit confused as which gender you belong to....
ReplyDeleteAnon,
DeleteThis is called engagement and superior argument. Beside if you check very well, I was mentioned hence my reply. It got nothing to do being a man or woman.
It takes nothing to comment or drop a reply if you read post here. Same way you have the time reading all through people's comment.
Thanks

Na woman he be.
DeleteSay whatever you want to say so we will know what you stand for. Be direct. I don't know why his take on this issue is giving you guys heart palpitation. Come direct and state your point. This your caution is not about how he responds to everything, you know what is getting you annoyed. Be straight forward my dear.
DeleteEeyah....chai
ReplyDeleteTeejay, you are just yarning gibberish. Why would you even compare Sunday Igboho to Nnamdi Kanu? How many people died because of Sunday Igboho. The entire westerners were seeing Igboho as a charlatan and not to be taken seriously. We know how we do our thing and how we go about it. We need no Igboho to champion our cause. If we want it, we will get it in due time. We are sophisticated like that.
ReplyDeleteRespond to his take on the terrorists in the north, keep Sunday aside for now
DeleteThanks Slim Shaddy, don't mind them. Always selective in arguments andjudgment. They all turned blind eyes to where I mentioned the order the President gave the security operatives to broker peace deal with terrorist in the North. What carnage happened in the East that didn't happen in the North? Can terrorist come before American government or military bearing arms for negotiations? Only in Nigeria such nonsense happens.
Delete© TEEJAY
I apologise for the first line of my comment.
Delete@Slim shady, if we are going by that, I have to admit that MNK shouldn't be in detention.
It's quite unfortunate though. I wouldn't believe this present administration would tow that path. But hey!
It seems there's something they are not telling us. Cos I don't want to believe some people are more special than others.
He who comes to equity must come with clean hands
If you want Sunday Igboho to be kept aside then keep Sunday Igboho out of your mouth. None of Sunday's actions killed anybody not a single person was killed by his actions. How many people have been killed by IPOB and Kanu's actions?, you will keep counting till the cows come home. Numbers in the high hundreds of thousands if not in single million digits. Make fair comparisons not tribalistic comparisons.
DeleteNo matter how much they rant, no matter how long they play the victim and stay in denial. Government, politicians and other tribes in Nigeria cannot be blamed for the killings of igbos by igbos in the south east.
