    3. Dante, I never knew or even understood what menstrual pain can do to some women until I met my wife. The pain is very debilitating. Child birth has only managed to reduce it to a degree. She refuses to take ibuprofen because according to her, it intensifies the pain. How am I supposed to make sense of that?

My wife has a high threshold for pain naturally. This is someone can be in the serious pangs of labour and she'll not make a whimper. But you see that menstrual pain, she dreads that time of the month.

She told me that the closest I can come to understand that pain is imagining myself getting constantly kicked in the balls. I figured that was descriptive enough.

I generally try to give her space in that time of the month because I may smile the wrong way and come off looking like the son of Baal.

    4. Lol.. SDK,.
Being in pain is not an excuse to be rude and insulting. No one is downplaying the pain..
I did a major surgery, I was in serious pain, I didn't come here and start insulting people..when ear and teeth showed me shege I wasn't trying to hurt others too, infact o withdrew into my shell in these periods..

Anyone that becomes insulting and rude and is using menstral flow as an excuse to justify it is a narcissist manipulative wicked rude babe.

    7. Lol.. Pink..
I won't understand as per I no get sisters or I never get babes before nah.. someone being in pains is not an excuse or justification for the person to become nasty and hurt others..if the person claims not to be in control, why doesn't she do things to hurt herself, why na only to hurt others..

  9. I think pastors should just preach the word of God and leave other subject or things they dont know well.

Few days to my period I often gets irritated, little things triggers me, is it the knees pain or the nauseous feeling, some months I throw up days before my period or during my ovulation.

I am just taking conscious effort because its affects some of my decisions negatively.

  10. One of the things I’m grateful to childbirth for is this menstrual pain it has taken away from me, hopefully forever, only for one to say it doesn’t exist.

Let’s see you have such intense cramps and see if you won’t act the way you wouldn’t normally act under such level of pain!

    1. My wife's pains stopped after the first and we heaved sighs of relief. Unfortunately though, with the birth of our daughter, the pains have returned and are of a higher degree than before.

I have suggested she get on the pill but she'll have none of it.

  11. Cramps was almost death sentence to me. Everyday I thank God for how God healed me. Menstral pain is no joke at aaaall, my vains will come out from my head to my hands and my feat.
Couple with vomiting, gosh it is something I dont pray to ever experience for me or anyone else.

  12. Well, nor be e fault. It's the people that consider him a "pastor" that I blame, cos for him to say such nonsense, he has been talking trash, it didn't just start now and they cheer him on.
I don't experience menstrual pain but two of my sisters do and it's not funny.
Someone that called me on the phone from her room and sounded like she was about to give up. I ran and went to wake my mom o, fear gripped me that night.
    Don't trivialize such pain.

  13. Is he talking about those who cause havoc in their homes and put the blame on mood swings? I don't know how people liken menstrual cramps to causing problems in their homes, over reacting and all that. I used to have a severe menstrual cramps that comes with vomiting, weakness of the thigh and inability to eat throughout the first day. Not even a taste of anything. But I don't feel any of that anymore (All glory to God Almighty) Throughout those period, I never disturbed anybody, just focused on myself. I hope he's not trying to downplay menstrual cramp, I need to know the angle he's coming from. It's not good to make the environment in peaceful because you are going through one or two things.

  15. Pastor Femi, sometimes the pain is like someone is trying to remove your waist from your body. When I was younger the only thing that relieved the pain was sleep but how can you sleep when you are in such pain. Some people experience severe pain.

  17. I have a lot of respect for this Pastor but this one wey he talk, e no follow at all. I am one of the lucky ones who doesn't experience serious cramps but I have sisters and friends who do....and the pain isn't one to trivialise.
I was conducting an interview one time and one of the female architects I interviewed thought it wise to inform me that she's either hospitalised or bedridden during her period because of the cramps she experiences..and she backed it up with medical records.

Pastor Femi, if truly this was what you said then you got it wrong and should apologise to your female followers.

  19. Pastor Femi lazarus when last did you see your menstrual flow? of all the things in the bible to preach about, it's women's menstruation that's your focus? Most pastors no longer care about winning souls, they just want to trend and make their gullible followers happy

  20. These people need to know it's not everything they should have an opinion about. It'll save them this kind of embarrassment.

  23. Yes, it is normal to have some menstrual cramps, but severe pain that interferes with daily activities is not and could indicate an underlying condition like endometriosis or uterine fibroids. If your cramps are severe, get worse suddenly, or don't respond to over-the-counter pain relievers, it is best to consult a doctor to discuss potential causes and management options.

What to know about menstrual cramps

    Mild cramps are common:

Many women experience some level of discomfort before and during their period, which is typically caused by uterine contractions triggered by prostaglandins.

    Severe cramps are not normal:

Pain that is severe enough to prevent you from your usual daily activities (like going to school or work) is not considered normal and warrants medical attention.

    Potential causes of severe pain:

Severe pain can be a symptom of conditions such as:

    Endometriosis

    Uterine fibroids

    Pelvic inflammatory disease (PID)

    Adenomyosis

  25. This message was cropped out of context. He was talking about some women that are temperamental and nasty on a normal but blaming it on their menstrual flow. The idea is to just to tell people to keep their emotions under check. This one that you have up here, is not exactly how it was said. Thank you

    1. Was about to type about “context.” Heard this Pastor preach live once in Abuja, and that was one of the things he touched on. Selective reporting of what people say, sometimes putting it out of context. Might be best to link the sermon if you have it, and no, he is not my Pastor, but I am a huge fan of context.
