On Wednesday October 22, 2025the Osun State Government announced that it has appointed Singer Davido as Chairman of the newly established Osun Sports Trust Fund.
The Osun sports trust fund initiative aims to mobilize private and philanthropic funding, modernize sports infrastructure and create youth engagement opportunities across the state
Osun state Deputy governor Kola Adewusi, who also serves as Commissioner for Sports, confirmed Davido’s enthusiastic acceptance of the role.

ReplyDeleteThe win was secured with nocturnal voting in Ede. He won't have that "grace" from the villa this time so it will be TOUGHER. He currently cannot find his way into APC despite begging and bulldozing. Like Muftwang and Aliyu, the current tenants of the houses being approached are not receiving visitors. He doesn't have the Aregbesola block or rather, that block is also melting with his shenanigans in ADC. His flogging in Alimosho is telling of what awaits in Osogbo -Oh no is loading.
DeleteIf APC avoids an own goal or schism, Baba will dance for his predecessor in a few months time. Even if the national leadership of the APC wants to show mercy, will those at home still cooperate on election day? So it's tough. This is not the case of Delta or Enugu where you are coming with the earned trophy. Even the LGA issue, all the legislative members leaving him in PDP speaks to a lost base.
He needs to visit the villa a few more times but more importantly visit people like Omisore and his predecessor who's boys are not playing. This is the time to be very humble o. Omisore is looking at age- he may not have national support but he has numbers that can warp results. He won't want to lose both ways with anti party behavior. Oyetola was robbed but is a party man . His camp is seeking their lost goods in an APC state. It's easier to agree with those on ground than to squeeze an agreement out of them from the top when they have their minds made up.
