Yemi Alade Shares How She Fell Into Depression After She Discovered She Forgot Her Real Age

WOW!!!....She kept saying she was 22 for three years?

In an interview singer Yemi Alade said she became depressed for a few days after realizing she had been saying she was 22 for three years when she was actually 25. She explained that she was so focused on music and isolated from the world that she lost track of time and couldn’t accept how fast the years had passed.

‎She said:
‎" There was a time someone asked me my age I realized I kept saying for three years that I am 22, I didn't realize I was 25. I took out my phone and I did the mathematics. Whatever that year was will be from 1989 boom I am 25.

‎ I was depressed for a few days. My mind was also not taking into account that years were passing by. I was so invested in my own world and secluded myself and only focused on only the music.

‎I mean every now and then I will travel to see my mom twice a year or something but it was mental for three years I didn't know my right age because I was lost in the sauce and when that dawned on me it was the same feeling that time had passed."

  1. For many years, I convinced myself I was born on the 16th when in actual sense, I was born on the 15th. This was largely due my lost birth certificate, and even after I found out, I refuse to accept.

    I understand you.

  2. Is this a problem cuz now I am worried, my bro told me his age a few days ago, I told my sis and she said it's not true, we had to calculate and found out he gave the wrong date

Is it stress or he just forgot??

I know he going through some things. Some days I feel sorry for him, other days I am just angry with him, maybe I don't understand what going on with him and he is not being open.

Please guys say a word of prayer for my younger brother

    1. Dante, I believe she's talking about what has happened or what happened to her not really a present thing

    2. She said, "there was a time", and "whatever that year was." Doesn't that mean it didn't happen this year? She turned, or will be, 36 this year.
