Senator Natasha Akpoti has cried out that she has been prevented from traveling abroad.
She made the allegation in a live Facebook broadcast on Tuesday morning.
According to her, “having completed the celebration of my second year, I decided to take a week off and my passport is being withheld again. The same thing happened.
“I have committed no offense and there is no order from the court to seize my passport and deny me traveling.
“The last time it happened, the officer in charge told us that the Senate President Godswill Akpabio instructed them to withhold my passport and prevent me from traveling”.
Does she obey court order?

If the court order her passport seized, would she obey?
If her passport was truly seized, let her brief one of the several SANs on her payroll to do the needful - go to court.

Leave feelings. She went to court herself and forgot to allege z3xual harassment or a$$@ult. All of her prayers were ruled against her and she was ordered by the court to issue an apology and it was upheld that she is also subject to the rules of the senate, a body that also insisted on an apology. She has done neither because the g and h can be trusted not to read.
DeleteToday, a lawyer is making another claim she cannot prove: that she is being prevented from travelling by the SP, and easily unlikable person to most. This SP who comes across as slimy and leaves little doubt in the minds of many as to his innocence of these allegations, can easily use and win against her. If it's a criminal claim he makes, her political career ends with a conviction.
This is why it is so annoying that a person claiming to be a lawyer will be taking a "kootu asipa" approach to clear cut matters, pandering to the emotions of people who have no appetite for facts and feel they are above mai ruwa empowerment.
What happened again? I thought the whole issue has been resolved? Why the oppression?
