That is enabling and providing a conducive environment for drug use. Also, if she is dangerous to have around her children why does he not want her to leave? When she tried to leave, he got his goons to forcibly hold her. It also plays in her favour that she tried to leave when he was out of town, which can be inferred that she feared for her life. ReplyDeleteMaturity as an Elder is realising that you can set the record straight(if necessary) without throwing the mother or father of your kids under the bus with things like drugs etc publicly for online spectators who don't care and would move on to the next gist tomorrow.
But the Tag of father being a woman abuser;or mum being a drug addict in the past or at the moment would always be there, especially in our country Nigeria where there are lots of stigma's existing already.
This is what a meeting should solve for both parties,and the marriage can end without much hazzles and sensitive details flying out.
Of course He is trying to protect his reputation as a senator and for future sake,but this calling out would do both of them more harm than good,cos they both have a lot at stake to lose if they should continue rolling on the mud together just to prove a point.

ReplyDeleteFirstly I am a young woman myself and do not like the fact that Ned married Regina so young. However, I don’t see exactly why everyone is bashing Ned. He married her at 18, she isn’t the first one to marry at 18 and her mother and siblings were in full support. And during the marriage, she constantly showed off material wealth, she continued to dress as she pleased, work, party, post online etc. So it’s difficult for her to claim now that she was being restricted. As the for the current saga, Ned didn’t post the initial video, Ned wasn’t the one on Instagram threatening to beat anyone. And yes it is right that her brother was arrested, everyone say his threats. Regina and her family claimed domestic violence when Ned said he wasn’t even home on the day, and he defended himself by telling us her drug use was becoming problematic. How is that a problem? He wants her to go to rehab, people are asking why? Do they not have two children together? Why wouldn’t he want her to go to rehab and remain married to him? It seems to me that Regina and her family feel like they taken as much as they need from him and it’s now time to discard him and he’s decided he doesn’t want to let go. But as it’s a free world, she’s not a possession so he can’t keep her under duress.
