Singer Tiwa Savage has re-explained the viral comment, suggesting that she's open to becoming a second wife.
While speaking during a podcast interview with Radio personality, Angie Martinez, Tiwa stated that being the first wife in her previous marriage did not shield her from pain and her comment stemmed from personal experiences in relationships and marriage.
In her words:

I said listen, I was married as the first wife, where did that get me the first time? I mean the only woman in my first marriage, I was the only one but here we are.
Sometimes, it's like when I am talking,not that i am not serious but i am figuring out life, i am thinking and i am like is that where i am getting it all wrong?maybe I should be a second wife because i am tired of being heartbroken.
If I say that Angie, they're going to drag me, I can't say my truth, I wish I really could be honest and say I don't want to be, it's not my choice, I don't want to be but...is there a bit?, I don't want to be, let's just leave it at that, i am looking for love

I have friends and relatives that come from a polygamous family, even if they are not legally married, I don't know but they're cheating and that's the honest truth cause I know so many marriages where they have extramarital...and it's not only in Nigeria".

ReplyDeleteTiwa, if you choose the wrong man to marry then even if you marry as tenth wife it will not work. It’s you seeing run flags and still running in or you got tired of dating and just picked the lazy way out. Values must align, but you need not be the same ppl. You must understand yourself and what your needs are. Two party animals will have the best time when the party is going, but when the music shuts off and it comes time for the bills to be paid and planning for the future then they may knock horns.
