The U.S. Embassy in Lagos has confirmed that Wole Soyinka’s visa revocation was lawful and within its rights and stated that visas are a privilege, not a right.
The exact reason the Visa was revoked remains undisclosed....
Soyinka however maintains that he has no criminal record or done anything to warrant such move and sees the revocation as a political gesture.

ReplyDeleteWhat is the big deal with US visa sef?
ReplyDeleteI don't know why a man in his 90s will be worried his visa was revoked? You gave up your green card earlier, so why do you still need their visa? America is not heaven as a lot of people think. If you carry an American passport and you suddenly become a millionaire anywhere in the world you will have to pay tax to the American government whether you live there or not.
ReplyDeleteExactly! He gave up the green card. That was like spitting them. Now you want to go to their country.

Your location notwithstanding, you must report your yearly income to the U.S Government whether you are a millionaire or not, as long as you are an American.
Ma’am sir it’s the principle of the matter
DeleteFight when you need the thing so it’ll be there for you and others when needed
Or do you not know many people in the forefront of civil right and other battles where actually not touched directly by thr issues
They fought for others
