President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday received Governor Alex Otti of Abia State at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The purpose of the meeting is reportedly connected with ongoing efforts to secure the release of the convicted leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu. The visit is coming after Governor Otti visited Kanu at the Sokoto prison, where the IPOB leader is serving a life sentence.
The engagement is believed to be part of a coordinated effort involving legal and political stakeholders seeking a resolution to the long-running matter.
