Honestly, 2025 came in like, ‘Let me just scatter a few marriages real quick, Everywhere you look, couples are tapping out . I’m glad they’re ending things peacefully, but wow… this year has really been stress-testing relationships like a malfunctioning robot.
It does actually. Every religion, every culture has a 'manual' on how marriage should be approached. Do we listen? NO. In our folly, we choose what suits/appeals to us and then allow the social media algorithm dictate and reinforce that belief in our minds.
Marriage can be a big wake up call. Many ppl do not expect the revelations that they may not truly have known who they got married to and the hidden habits they may be a turn off that they are discovering. Marriage can be more boring than they anticipated and jumping into becoming parents right away may just compound the already existing issues that have not been worked out. .
I feel like 30-40% of the marriages that ended in divorce could have been worked on with a bit of patience and realignment of expectations. Some are moving too quick to divorce instead of having a bit of patience to work through some of the issues that could be worked through and lead to a transformation. Nobody is perfect and everyone will have an annoying habit, is it worth divorcing over? Maybe not
