EX Movie Producer Don Pedro Obaseki Disgraced By Edo Youths For Allegedly Insulting The Oba

Former Movie producer turned politician, Don Pedro Obaseki was ambushed by a group of youths in Benin City after they accused him of making statements considered disrespectful toward the Oba of Benin.(The statement was done in London at a meet and greet organised for ex governor Obaseki his brother)

 

Although none of the available reports provide the exact words he allegedly said, the attackers claimed he had “abused the Oba” and labeled him “Oghian Oba” an “enemy of the Oba,” which they used to justify their actions.

Obaseki in tears, denied ever insulting the monarch,and insisted that the accusations were fabricated and that the attack was politically motivated.  

Whichever it was, he was badly humiliated and is best advised to leave Benin city until he is sure that the Youths have forgiven him because he was whiskers away from being lynched.
