As the year 2025 draws its curtain, may I say this to whoever needs to 'hear' it. There are certain persons that have no business going into 2026 with you. They shouldn't be in your circle or life as you progress.

You can't keep waiting for that version of anyone that doesn’t exist. The truth is that, no one will say they don't know exactly what they're doing. If they had wanted to treat you better, they would have. Trust me.
Move on already......
This is one truth you have to face in life that shouldn't be avoided. You can never really change a person who sees no wrong in what they're doing(actions) The least anyone can do is to treat you right and when they're not doing so, DUMP THEM.
You weren’t asking for too much, you were only asking the wrong person. Their actions weren’t hiding or confusing. You were just hoping they’d eventually change for good and treat you better. Sometimes that's the illusion you've created in your mind. Funnily enough, they never change and it becomes another rigmarole in your search for love, companionship and partner.
In 2026, we can all do better.

My favourite uncle just got diagnosed of asthma at 61. He didn't have it before now, no one has it in our family too. I used to think it is either hereditary or it develops from birth (covers face).
In my Junior Secondary days, we had a school mate who was a dwarf. It was the first time all of us were seeing a dwarf in person. Being a girls’ only school, our free periods were spent gisting and often poking jokes at each other and doing other competitive stuff. On one fateful day, someone just turned to the dwarf and said, “who created you? Because you are not created in the image of God. He cannot be as ugly as you!”
ReplyDeleteIt was intended as just a joke. But that term was the last time she came to school. Imagine the psychological damage done to that poor child.
If you met Jesus in person what would you say he looked like?
This is one very interesting question we discussed in my childhood days in church. We came to a conclusion that he was indescribably beautiful. What would you expect? He is the son of God.
Even the bible says he is the exact replica of God. Heb 1:3
The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation Col 1:15
How handsome was Jesus then?
I am sorry to disappoint you. The bible in this verse was not describing his physical look but his nature. Here is how the bible describes his physical look:
He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him, nothing in his appearance that we should desire him. Isa 53:2
In other words, Jesus was so ordinary looking that nothing about him could suggest his extraordinariness or god-ness. If he was in a crowd, he won’t stand out because of his looks like David or Saul. He was deceptively simple. He was so ordinary looking that Judas had to identify him with a kiss for the soldiers not to arrest the wrong person! That simplicity was the exact representation of God.
This was part of the confusion that surrounded Jesus in his days. Even His brother James (about 2-3 years younger) couldn’t understand why Jesus would say he was God. How? He knew when Jesus farted, when he slept, when he was hungry. Does God sleep and pee and poo? So, one day he had to call people and took chains so they could bind Jesus because obviously he was going mad. (Mark 3:21)
Even his disciples were challenged with this ordinariness. Shouldn’t God conduct himself with some bit of decorum? Must he get tipsy and drunk with wine? Must he sit with prostitutes and riff-raffs and make friends with lepers and tax collectors? (Please don’t be upset that I said he got tipsy. I am only repeating what the bible said – Matt 11:19)
Even his disciples and apostles saw him like this.
From Heaven’s point of view Jesus was a lamb that was to be slaughtered. John the Baptist identified him accurately when he shouted – Behold the lamb of God that takes away the sins of the world. John 1:29, 36
Thank God Jesus knew who he was. DO YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE?
So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer. 2 Cor 5:16*
It is an error to look at anyone from a “worldly point of view”. It is an error to look at yourself based on what you can see in the world. You must look into the person’s heaven-version to be able to know the person.

Because I was very slim this senior and his geng had special names for me chai. I started drinking akamu and plenty milk to gain weight 🤣
