It's just a habit he developed during his single days which he uses to get the laddies thinking that he is truly in love with them. He groomed himself into behaving that way , in such that, even if he is just waking up from slumber and finds a lady around him, he'll want to make her feel special regardless. Some men are like that. I believe that this Kind of public disgrace from this lady will help him to curtail that behavior.
