SDK POPULAR BVS SET TO WED...
This is to announce to you all that two BVs from the comment section became closer from SDK whatsapp group and have decided to spend together forever.....Dates have been fixed and families have met........I will talk more on this after they hold their event......
The sad news is that i was not trusted enough to be told about this moves and only found out from people who trusted me and felt it was not fair i was left out... A big pity i was not trusted enough but its OK, I trust myself....LOL
Their introduction to wedding is this weekend....

NOTORIOUS FOR JESUS
The first time I got the signal that there was a future for me in teaching was when I was still teaching in this primary school around my neighborhood.
It was a tiny class of 18 students with no ventilation, I was earning 20k, but the passion and hard work I put in was second to none.
One of my learners used to have her uncle pick her after school. He is a bike rider.
He must have been observing me. He would salute me and I would return the gesture with my head buried deep in the students' books, marking unending, with thick sweats rolling down my cheeks.
"You are doing a good job Ma", it was one of the days he had come to pick his cousin, you are doing a good job Ma, repeated and handed me a #100 naira.
Before you say that's so little, the message is not in the money, it is that someone sees my hard work enough to reward it.
The value was in the recognition.
Someone saw the work.
Someone felt the impact.
Someone believed it was worth rewarding..
The truth is, if he was worth more he would have done more, Imagine if he were a Governor, he would have rewarded me according to his capacity.
Anything one is doing and it is noticeable to the point that it becomes rewardable, I think the person is doing it well.
Today, I can set my rate per class or even reject jobs: that place was simply a learning ground.
Never despise your small beginnings.
Your consistency is building a future you cannot yet see.
Teachers are gifted people oooooh...I remember when my Bambinos were small and would bring homework from school..OMG!.....the stress of teaching them anything gave me nightmares oh...I respect teachers so much and BV Teacher NK is my hero on this platform cos of how she makes it all look so easy.....

And if you choose to walk the dark valley of childbirth, please, also choose a man who has a genuine understanding of and reverence for the sacrifice and sacredness of pregnancy and labour.
Choose a man who understands that pregnancy is not ‘your duty’, but that it is a gift of RISK that only your body can offer.
Choose a man who will hold your hand in the ward and never forget that you risked your life so another could live.
Choose a man who will protect your peace as fiercely as you protected that baby in your womb!
My focus is not on the men, but on the women whose bodies have been given the LIFE-DEMANDING privilege to birth another human.
When a woman chooses to get pregnant and carry that pregnancy, she literally brings the table, the chairs, the meal, and the lineage that will sit around it.
Because without that woman’s body, there would be no generation to discuss ‘tables’ in the first place.
PS: And you women that join this bandwagon because your pregnancy and labour experience were not life-threatening, and you had no post-partum complications, may God have mercy on you.

ReplyDelete@NFJ, teaching is hardwork but one thing I notice is, its refreshes the brain and I am so glad I can impact knowledge into my child because most teachers are too stressed, coupled with low salary.
