Anambra State Gov Soludo, The Sit‑At‑Home Order And The Onitsha Market Shut Down

Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo ignited protests after ordering the one‑week closure of Onitsha Main Market, one of West Africa’s largest commercial hubs, because of traders’ refusal to open for business on Mondays...He wanted to end the long‑running sit‑at‑home culture but they said NO!.

They probably refused out of fear of what would happen to them, knowing very well that he would not be able to protect them..
It is safe to say that instead of looking for 'water' to quench the fire, governor Soludo used 'kerosene'..

  2. If he can't guarantee their safety, then he can't blame the people for refusing to listen. Safety first, please.

  4. What measures has he put in place to guarantee their safety. He only took a drastic decision without proper reasoning and consideration.
The same force he use to shut down a whole onitsha main Market should be use to protect the people every Mondays and also flush out those imposing the seat at home.

  6. I don’t see how the market is his business
But he’s right to say government workers must return to work or get less pay

  7. Mr Governor Sir, please attention should be directed to resolving the underlying factor that brought about the "Sit At Home" orders in the first place.

Many citizens have lost their lives to these underworld commanders. And till date, no justice has been served to that effect.

It would be insensitive to ask people to gamble with their precious lives, when they know fully well that if they get killed by obeying your orders no arrests will be made.

And besides, who wants to die?
