The British Transport Police has secured a six-year jail term for Daniel Odubanjo a Nigerian based in the United Kingdom, for sXxually assaulting a woman during a train journey. It was learnt on Tuesday from a statement published on the BTP website that Odubanjo was sentenced by the Chelmsford Crown Court on January 12 2026 for offences including false imprisonment and sXxual assault.

Super Eagles captain, Wilfred Ndidi has lost his father, Sunday Ndidi, who passed away on Tuesday following a road accident in Delta State. Sunday Ndidi, a retired military officer, was reportedly involved in a crash in Umunede, Delta State. He was rushed to a hospital in nearby Agbor, where doctors later confirmed his death.
