In December 2025, close to the festive period, I was heading home after the day's hustle when I walked through some group of teenagers discussing. I can bet these boys were not more than fifteen years of age.

What caught my attention as I walked through was when one of them that looked younger said, ''I don bill the CL $1000 him never chest am.'' Immediately I turned back and looked at the young boy that said it. I shook my head in disbelief. I doubt these boys were through with secondary school.

 Imagine at that age, they all have Android phones and have ventured into fraudulent activities. For reference, CL used above means 'Client' a slang used by yahoo boys referring to whoever they're trying to defraud.

Do you think these boys as they grow up in life would wanna engage in any legit and productive hustle aside from fraud? Unfortunately, majority of them don't end up well. Few days ago, a man was justifying Yahoo to me. According to him, if not for Yahoo, the rate of arm robbery and crimes would have skyrocketed but these boys are occupied with their phones and laptop. Do you see how foolish some grown up people sound and reason.

 ''So what then is Yahoo if it curbs arm robbery and crimes to you?'' I asked him. He said I should forget about it after all the whites defrauded our forefathers. This is how fraud is been encouraged and promoted. This is the usual excuse they lie to themselves when they wanna justify their fraudulent acts.

Someone said, ''As a man if you were able to have married before 2014, you were actually lucky. With the advent of Yahoo in Nigeria, a good number of women born from 2015 upward have a thing to do with Yahoo boys.''

When I sat down and assimilate those words, to an extent, I'll say there's a bit of truth in what was said. You need to see what these guys are doing to young pretty girls in my locality. Girls not even up to 20yrs. I heard most of the things they said they have done to these young girls. 

There was one that her parents forcefully relocated from Rivers State when the information spread that three yahoo guys took turns with her. There was even gossip of a threesome she had engaged on. How would you have felt if you were to be the parents of that young girl?

You can't easily get a young girl to work as a sales girl in my area. It's pretty much difficult I must say. How much can you offer when they believe a night out will cover some months salary working for you. 

The young girl I had wanted to employ at the time to work as a POS operator told the person I sent to her that the peanut I will give her monthly isn't up to what her Yahoo boyfriend gives her to recharge her line in a week. This was a 19yr old girl according to her girlfriend.

One sad thing about all these is that, an innocent man will likely suffer the punishment from these young ladies in the name of marriage. This is where I will always advise everyone getting married to seek clarity before saying I DO. 

I called off a marriage preparations when the young lady I wanted to do life with suggested I go into yahoo so I can take good care of her. I asked her if she'll agree to be used for the sacrifice and she flared up, asking if I don't have sisters or mother. That was the last time we talked about marriage.

Yahoo boys after using these ladies to their satisfaction, push them aside and move on to another new catch. No Yahoo boy marries a young girl he's rolling with. Most likely, they go for mature financial independent women to continue their fraud in the guise of marriage. Some of them choose to become gigolo preying on sugar mommies.

If only you know what these guys do to young ladies as a result of their greed, you won't wish any of these girls to your brothers or male friends for marriage. They mess them up psychologically, emotionally, diabolically even introduce them into drugs and fraud. Sometimes, they sniff life out of them.

Whatever you do in this life, clarity should come first.
