Morayo told Ireti that when the divorce happened, both parties were quiet and did not address the public. She then asked Ireti what lessons the journey had shaped in her.
Morayo: “Let’s talk about your marriage, the divorce. When the divorce happened with your ex, you were both quiet. We didn’t hear from both of you, you didn’t tell us anything. What would you say that experience has taught you or formed who you’ve become today?”
Ireti Doyle: “First of all, you didn’t hear anything because it was none of your business. Two people come together and decide to get married, there is a celebration if you do it right — you have a few friends and family around you and you carry on with life. Sadly or unfortunately, something goes wrong and you can no longer continue life’s journey together. The only people you owe any explanation, if at all, are those small family and friends that gathered on day one. You see this larger audience… they don’t really care.”
Ireti made it clear that she keeps her private life private because the public is not entitled to personal details...

Nice response from her.
ReplyDelete'we didn't hear from both of you, you didn't tell us anything' See audacity!
DeleteWhich journalism school you attend Morayo? Who are you that they should tell madam?
I trust Ireti Doyle and this is one reason I love her-she never disappoints in real life and make believe!
Delete@Sandy
DeleteYou took the words right out of mouth. Most of these media people that do interviews should go back to the drawing board cos ehhh.....
I love Her energy!!! No time for nonsense talk, talk about her projects and walk.
DeleteShe only talks about her personal life on HER terms and when she wants to, not when anyone Carole her.
Back of the bush journalism.
DeleteThey will now start screaming I am an entertainment journalist when they can't tie the shoelaces of their international counterparts who know their onions.
Just a bunch of average fish is a cesspool of mediocrity.
Omo! She gave Morayo "Ela ojukan" 🤣
ReplyDeleteI sha like Ireti, fine woman with great acting skills
na confirmed ella oju kan...yeye interviewer. wetin concern her with my private life?
DeleteGood for her. She is obviously a gossip. No iota of professionalism. Mtsheeeew 😒
Delete😂 Patrick did the opposite. Over the years I heard a lot about her from his interviews and none too flattering.
DeleteIreti is right on this one, but the tone. Did it convey negative emotions? that's where the reality of the conversation lies.
ReplyDeleteMy goodness!! You are something else. Alway llooking for what is not there. You come off as a very judgemental human being.
DeleteBut i agree with Oya Nimi, her point if i get it right is that it is the tone with which she responded that matters, not just the words

DeleteIt appears like you are simply projecting or that's your wishful thinking getting aired.
DeleteWow that was so nice. I like a very private life.
ReplyDeleteDASSALL!

DeleteI love her response. No nonsense madam.
ReplyDeleteThat's how it should be. Be intentional about your private life.
DeleteThey were quiet because they didn't want to talk. These interviewers need to know how to ask questions. Jeeeeez! Looooove Ireti's response.
ReplyDeleteVery dumb, lame boring questions.🤦🏼♀️
DeleteAnd this is for all the shows from TV, Radio, Podcast etc shows in Nigeria.
Like, how difficult is it to think of a question that will elicit a different perspective, that will mahd your guests sit up and think deeply?
Awon ...ehn what do you have to say to your fans?'
I love her response.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful response.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful response.
ReplyDeleteThis is what I applaud.👏🏼
ReplyDeleteSame way anyone with a sensible and credible channel should not just invite anything that crawls by, you too, eyin guests, any question that doesn't make sense should politely and immediately be shut down.
They are just looking for headlines on their guest head, afi 'I want you to tell your story🤣🤣🤣
At the end of the day, as long as you are not an up and coming, you are only helping those platforms by going fur their interview.
Because what interesting and deep thinking questions can they even ask?
Just the same regurgitated questions on incidents that happened 200 years ago.
Well done Ireti.✌🏼
Very good response 👍
ReplyDeleteAnd this may be one of the best reasons to do your small wedding, no hundreds of ppl feeling they are owed an explanation why the union didn’t last because you accepted their gifts.
ReplyDeleteYes o. Team low-key wedding any day anytime. If I were to have my way, it'd be just me, my man and the priest. 👰♂ 💑
DeleteGood for you though
ReplyDeleteLol .
ReplyDeleteNice response
Lovely response 🥹🥹
ReplyDeleteHahaha 🤣🤣 I love her response.
ReplyDeleteMy big crush. Great answer
