Mrs. Ojukwu, who served as Nigeria’s Ambassador to Spain for 8 years, was delightedly excited to receive the former Governor of Abia State.
She noted that Spain hosts a significant Nigerian community and assured the Ambassador-designate that his extensive public service experience would equip him to navigate the responsibilities of his diplomatic posting.

“Pleased to welcome Nigeria's Ambassador -Designate to the Kingdom of Spain, the former Governor of Abia State, Dr Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, in company of Ugwumba Uche Nwosu, to our Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Nigeria Embassy in Spain, holds much sentimental value for me, having once served as the country’s Ambassador and Head of Mission there. I have no doubt that Dr Ikpeazu will bring much dynamism to the mission.
