Amebo Post On Saturday.

In this post we gist and gist.................AND GIST!!!

  1. In those days when I was a child, my grandma used pomo in almost all her soups.

The pomo was always very fresh, odourless, tasty, and filling.

After eating it, you could feel this sticky sensation on your lips, and you’d find yourself licking your lips and drinking water nonstop.

Nowadays matters don dey different. Once you enter the market, you’re immediately hit with a strong, offensive smell coming from dark brown or jet black, unfresh pomo.

Then there is a swarm of big big flies throwing a grand feast all over the ffugly kpomo.

    Makes me wonder.

Is it that our cows now have some kind of disease that causes their skin to smell this bad?

Should we abandon pomo and switch to growing mushrooms in our backyard instead? Before pomo go use stench wunjure pezin 😢

One person said that the pomo that's being sold in the markets nowadays is gotten from animals like donkeys, camels and horses, but I say na lie cos those animals are expensive naun. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Wo! I hear say mushroom kuku dey very nutritious so I've decided to port

    4. Pomo I know then were not really neat. I remember that we used to wash it with iron sponge to clean the dirts very well.
When next you want to buy Pomo, avoid those local markets, some of the environments where they sell meat are very dirty and attract flies.

    5. Some of those things you thought are kpomo are jaki meat(donkey) Can you differentiate between the both if presented to?

Sometimes the preservation caused the smell. Probably it has stayed for long. I don't think fresh kpomo smells that bad. Medically, I heard it's not even good for consumption. Some people uses tyre to roast it. The same tyre that was produced with chemical. Now you understand why the rate of most life threatening sickness people suffer in this country.

    7. As a pomo lover I had made that mistake of buying the smelly one you talked about. The money wasted pained me. Best to buy from those that slaughter cows. It's more expensive though.

    1. I wasn't feeling it from the beginning too, but I ended loving it. Very interesting. I cried along the line because it reminded me of a born again lady in my church who gave her all to family, only to be treated like 🗑️ in the end

  4. My problem is that I’m always thinking, 24/7. As long as I’m awake, there’s a thought going on in my head.

Some of these thoughts sometimes follow me into my dreams. 😢

If I'm not thinking about my siblings in other states and countries, I'm thinking about my first boyfriend.

Other times it is about actress Queen Genevieve Nnaji, or Aunty SDK, or Queen XP, Queen Eka Joy, Queen Shooter, infact, all popular BVs.

Sometimes I dive into the music industry and start thinking about Wizkid 👑, OBO or ODG. Oooh Queen Nicki Minaj and what she’s doing at that moment. Could she be sleeping, eating, or cooking in the studio?

Nna, na wa o. Wetin we go call this one now

Thoughts just full my head ehhh! Ah‼️even now that I'm typing, I'm still thinking 👇🏻

    1. Just take it easy before you start hallucinating. Get your mind busy by reading books or surfing the net when you're less busy. There are people like you who lives in fantasy. I knew of someone who once said he was already living his dream life in fantasy. He sees himself a millionaire. Living in luxuries, wife and kids etc. Sometimes he plans how he'll spend millions he doesn't have 🤣🤣

All I'm saying is that, just be careful. Before you start smiling to yourself and soliloquizing.

  5. Ony my way home. Thank God for today. It was a heavy downpour today. I couldn't believe I worked under the rain and now I'm feeling so cold. Can't wait to get home.

Work continues again tomorrow morning. No church for me. God will understand with me at this point in time.

  6. So have you ever done something so stupid that you tell yourself that you are the most stupid person alive!

So Davido was supposed to come to Zürich for as part of his tour, venue was 30 mins drive from my house. My husband wasn’t so stoked about going so he decided he’d just stay home with the kids while I go have fun.

So I booked a ticket that clearly said 27th March! I was so excited.

This evening, we concluded my husband and kids will go drop me off and will come pick me up when the show is done. I picked out my outfit (very non fashionista style as usual), then went to take my bath.

I decided to use the toilet first and while doing that, I went on Davido’s page to check what he’s saying about the show he’s about to perform at.

Then I saw something that left me in shock

    ‘Zürich WAS something serious’

Not ‘is’ but ‘was’. I became confused, what’s going on! I checked my calendar! Today is 28th! Show was on 27th.

I screamed for my husband and started crying. I swear, I cried like I was flogged that Alex kept wondering what was wrong and was consoling me!

My husband couldn’t understand why I could be crying over chf 100.

I missed the show! My 100 francs is gone but as painful as that is, I’m in this much pain cos I really really wanted to go!

    Stupid! Stupid! Stupid!

    2. Not stupid at all, just one of those painful mistakes. So sorry. Sometimes it's excitement that causes it. Missing something you really looked forward to hurts differently, but trust me, you will laugh about this someday. 🤗 🫂

  7. So I took my power bank to the commercial charging store to charge since we have not had electricity for the past few weeks
Normally, I used to pay 300 for the charging, so I did not bother to ask the lady for the price
When I went there to collect the power bank this evening, I gave the lady 1000 naira, instead of giving me back 700 naira, she stretched out 500 change...
I demanded for my remaining balance but she told me that charging is now 500 for powebank
So now, I ll be spending close to 3k every 2 days for charging my devices
    God have mercy on us
    I am fed up walahi

    1. What sort of powerbank are you using? How many MAh? Ordinarily, it should serve you up to three days when fully charged. Beside, is your battery that bad or you press phone every minute?

    1. Anon,

There are better ways to pass a message and it will look good than this. You've on about this for sometime now. Why being bothered? I understand the point you're making but the passage of it isn't nice.

Understandably, delaying of enabling comments on post like this could be the actual reason the gist post isn't how it used to be back then. However, we're all human. The admin is also trying. Enabling comments from morning to night everyday is no play or easy thing. Pls be kind in suggestions to her. Remember, she's joggling on blogging and motherhood as well. Take it easy.
