The Federal Government has released an updated list of 48 individuals and groups allegedly sponsoring terrorism in the country. The list which was released through the Nigeria Sanctions Committee, NiGSAC, was published on Saturday, April 11, 2026.....Coming soon in another post


 The Armed Forces of Nigeria, AFN, have confirmed that the military personnel involved in a public clash in Bayelsa State have been identified and taken into custody. The development follows a viral video circulating on social media showing an altercation between a Navy and Army service men on April 10, 2026.

The crisis rocking the Peoples Democratic Party took a different dimension on Saturday when the faction of the party led by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, took over the control of the PDP national secretariat in Abuja after the police reopened it.

 Tension gripped some parts of Delta State on Saturday following the abduction of the Chairman of Sapele Local Government Area, Bright Abeke. The council boss was reportedly kidnapped at about 7 pm on Friday evening by arms-wielding gunmen who stormed a hotel along Owumi Road in Sapele,the brazen attack that sent panic across the area.

 The All Progressives Congress has said members aspiring to contest its 2027 presidential primary will pay N30m and N70m for the expression of interest and nomination forms, respectively. Also, governorship aspirants are to pay N10m for the expression of interest form and N40m for the nomination form as the country prepares for the general election next year.

 An Ogun State governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress, Senator Iyabo Obasanjo, on Saturday, debunked reports that she is only in the gubernatorial race to use it to bargain for either the slot of deputy governor or ministerial appointment. Obasanjo said such a report is nothing but cheap lies and propaganda insisting that she is in the race to succeed Governor Dapo Abiodun in 2027.

 The Federal Government has ordered the Nigeria Immigration Service, NIS to immediately withdraw or deactivate the passports of individuals who have renounced Nigerian citizenship. The Minister of Interior, Dr Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, gave the directive.

 The Catholic Diocese of Abakaliki has announced the passing of its Bishop, Most Rev Peter Nworie at the age of 60. The notification of his death is contained in a statement issued to journalists on Friday by the Vicar General, Rev Fr Donatus Chukwu, on behalf of the Diocese.

 The Police Command in Imo has launched a manhunt for the killers of Eze Paulinus Ekwueme, the traditional ruler of Ochia Autonomous Community, Ohaji/Egbema Local Government Area of the state. The command’s Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Henry Okoye, disclosed this in a statement made available to newsmen on Saturday.
