The second branch affected is on Land Bridge Avenue in Oniru, and was sealed after a whistleblower alert led to a night‑time operation on April 1, 2026.
The Wastewater Management Office found the branch discharging untreated faecal waste into public drainages, causing a foul smell and environmental damage.
Samples from the discharge tested positive for pollution, and the state says it will pursue the case in court.
